Positive: We had the most perfect stay at the Sunstar Hotel & Spa. The entire staff was very friendly & helpful and our room was spacious with a spectacular balcony view. We especially appreciated the attention to detail in even the smallest gesture of comfort & convenience. The breakfast buffet provides something for everyone and the croissants with fresh butter & homemade jam were to die for. Its location is an easy 8-10 minute walk to the train station and transportation to & from the hotel upon arrival & departure was available. Gondolas to First (highly recommended) are available right across the street. After long days, we pampered ourselves in the spa facilities which included an indoor pool, 2 steam rooms, dry sauna, Kneipp foot baths with rock bottoms that provide hydrotherapy for your feet (highly recommended!), and relaxation areas with beautiful mountain views. Massage therapy is also available by appointment.
Negative: Only one complaint… After having been traveling for 8 days, we wanted to use the laundry facilities. We were given a key card that gives you access to a laundry room with one washer & dryer. We did 2 loads back to back, using both washer & dryer which took a total of 2 hours to run each cycle. We were charged 40 CHF, equivalent to about $50 to run 2 small loads.
Summary: Highly, highly recommended in every aspect but avoid washing your clothes there!
