Beautiful, lovingly furnished apartment in the heart of Cologne.
The apartment has two bedrooms (one of the bedrooms is a walk-through room) with a large double bed and a high-quality sofa bed in the living room to relax. The kitchen is fully equipped u. a. with ceramic hob, oven, coffee machine. A tastefully designed bathroom with a bathtub to relax and a shower complete the living experience.
Smoking is not allowed.

Summary: Excellent property, just as described, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Perfect communication with owner. Very good value. We three enjoyed our time there and found it easy to set out for sites across Cologne. There are, however, two issues for which potential renters need be aware. First, it is on a noisy street and while that will not matter during cooler months, b/c of the double glazing, once the windows are cracked the sounds come in. Second, the smell issue. Entering the door at the front of the builiding, as other renters have noted, one is confronted with an horrendous chemical smell. None in our group could identify it. We guess it is something vented into the stairway by the nail salon downstairs. Why this has not been addressed by tenants is bizarre. Ventilation! But to be very clear about our experience: while the stairway was disgustingly smelly, it never once entered the apartment. Once the door was closed, it was fine. (The building tenants need to throw a fit and get this fixed.) To sum: we heartily recommend the property but just know what you are getting.

Summary: We had a very relaxing 3 days stay in Cologne an were really happy about our calm appartment, which is located close to the Cologne main station and inner city. The checkin and checkout were easy and well described. The appartment is large and everything is at hand for a short trip. Thanks again to the host, we really enjoyed it 😃

Summary: Overall it was good. Little incident at arrival, the key was not in the safe. We communicated with the owner and they came within 15 mins. The appartement was well equiped but was warm ( no AC) luckly, the weather was not too hot. The beds were not very comfortable but for a few days it's ok. As a constructive criticism, having to vaccum and clean up is a bit of a drag. For the price they can certain afford to pay someone to clean the place. When you're on vacation, you don't expect to have to vaccum the place. On the positive side, the appartement is very well located with many restaurants and convneineces stores close. It's within 20-30 min walk to the cathedral and other visiting sites which was very good. I recommend this appartement.

Summary: Pros: Check-in and out instructions were clear. Good communication from host. Great location - very close to public transit and many restaurants. Spacious. Nice TV! Cons: Hallway always had a weird smell (that's the building though, not the unit). The shower could use a shelf or caddy to hold toiletries - everything had to go on the floor :/ Pillows were not very comfortable. One more fan for the hot summer days would be nice because there's no AC. Overall, we had a good stay, but a couple of small fixes would make it even better!

Summary: Property was very easy to find and entry instructions were very clear. The apartment was great for us. The beds were comfortable and everywhere was very clean. The shower was good and the kitchen was fine for our needs. The location was excellent near to the Metro, grocery store and a fab Vietnamese restaurant just a few doors away. Excellent communication with hosts who were very receptive and prompt with replies. Would recommend and stay again if I come back to Cologne.

Summary: The space is nicely renovated with new kitchen and bath. The kitchen and dining area face an interior courtyard; the two bedrooms face a busy street with easy access to a Tram line. The space is quieter than would be expected when the windows are closed, but noisy when the front bedroom windows are open. The kitchen was nicely equipped for cooking simple meals. We welcomed the glassed-in stall shower in the bathroom in addition to the bathtub.
