Real Escapes Properties is pleased to offer 154 Gould Street. Nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac in one of the island's most beautiful neighborhoods, this lovely 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom home offers peaceful seclusion in an ideal location adjacent to the private Sea Island’s Plantation golf course.
This home features an outstanding formal dining room, full chef’s kitchen, huge great room with gas fireplace - these are just a few of the ample spaces to R&R with family. On the main floor, there is a Master bedroom suite that overlooks the pool area and an additional bedroom just off the hall with a queen-size bed. The home also has a large laundry/utility room with an extra refrigerator.
On the second floor, in the landing area, you’ll find a great sitting room with a sleeper sofa and television. Rounding out the upstairs, are two bedrooms – each with a king bed, ceiling fan and en-suite full bathroom.
You’ll enjoy the wonderful pool and deck area with plenty of room for entertaining. The pool can be heated for an additional charge of $450/booking. Nearby, you will find public access points to the ocean and beach. This Gould Street home is a nice walk down a quiet Live Oak lined street to the historic Pier Village with great restaurants, shops, pier, historical lighthouse and oceanfront Neptune Park.

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The overall experience with Gould Street was very pleasant! We loved that it was a short drive to the Beach, grocery store, etc. but also love the fact that we were able to walk down to the pier and the shops area to get ice cream or go out for a date night at the restaurants! The house itself was very beautiful and the pool was the best part. If we weren’t out and about we were in the pool in the afternoon and right before dinner! The property was very well maintained the lawn and pool people came while we were there and took great care of the outside. The inside was a little dusty in a few places that are obviously not used but none of the places that would have been mostly used. The only problem we had was about the kitchen cookware and kitchen utensils, it seemed it was very lacking especially for a family of 7+ that likes to cook for breakfast and dinner each day. Just seemed very minimal for a kitchen of that size. We did love everything else and will definitely return in the future!

The house layout was nice with bedrooms up and downstairs, and nice size family room. Overall upkeep of the house was minimal. Good location near Village and quiet neighborhood. Pool is in need of refurbishing. Main complaint was trash bins located right around the corner from pool area. Way too many flies and trash bins not large enough to hold garbage or need more frequent pick-ups. Also, kitchen had the bare essentials, with knives that were very dull.

The location was within walking distance of the shopping district, pier, and parks. The pool was clean and a fantastic amenity that we used daily! The home was clean, each bedroom had a full bath available, and the kitchen had a great layout. We cooked almost all our meals there and found the extra fridge and spacious butler's pantry invaluable! Sunsets over the golf course made for the best evening photo ops too--just another added bonus!

It is very secluded and the bag pipes at sunset were so fun to hear. Home is very large and has an open floor plan so great for a large group. Dining room let us have a very nice dinner prepared by a private chef. There is also a fire pit which was great since the weather permitted. On the down side you can tell this is an investment rental property and not something someone owns personally and takes care of. Furniture is old and not comfortable. You can tell the house is not cared for personally. The kitchen faucet leaks. The upstairs AC unit was not working and we had to stay at another location the first night because it was just to warm. The company did a good job of resolving the issue and Brook was great. Would be nice if someone checked on the house prior to our arrival and these things could have been avoided.

Further, the basic cable was really basic (no ESPN, TBS, SEC Network etc), so fining sports not on the basic 2 networks was impossible... The owner should really think about that one.

It was a beautiful home and overall the stay was great. The entry locks were very difficult and frustrating and there is not enough there is not enough trash cans for a home this size. The trash was overloaded and stinking when we arrived. The kitchen did not have enough utenzils/pans/bowls. The remotes need posted instructions for each of the televisions. These are all owner issues and the rental company was great to respond to our needs. With a little TLC, the house would be a "5". The house is very conveniently located to downtown - within walking distance and there is a nice beach access very close when the tide is out. The main beach is only about 5 minutes driving time.
