2 Bedroom, 1 Bath Cottage With Private Lake Freeman Access, Beach, Pool, and Playground
You will absolutely love our sweet little cottage (that has been recently updated and totally refreshed in April 2019) in this rare-to-find private lake-side community. It has just about everything anyone would need to have a great family vacation, fishing expedition, or just a quiet little get-away! The cottage has two bedrooms, each with a queen bed (new in 2018). One bedroom also has a toddler bed if you have little ones under the age of 6.
The spacious living room has a large double reclining couch, a loveseat that pulls out as a twin-size sofa sleeper for added sleeping accommodations (for one) and a brand new (April 2019) leather reclining glider lounge chair for extra seating and added comfort. There is plenty of space to lounge on the couches while you and your family or friends pass the hours in the evening watching TV or planning what you’ll do next during your getaway.
The bathroom and cottage floorings were also updated and replaced in winter of 2018, providing a fresh new look and feel for your comfort and for a beautiful "Gaines-like" style.
The kitchen has all new stainless-steel appliances, but lacks a dishwasher. You can get back to basics by hand-washing dishes with your loved ones, or have the kids show you how responsible they can be by helping with cleanup. We've added more storage with some new cabinets, storage cupboards and a kitchen cart island. The look is stunning and the extra storage is super helpful.
There is a flat-screen television in the living room with basic cable for evenings catching up on your favorite shows, playing DVD's or watching the game.
We also have free Wi-Fi to help keep you connected if getting too far off the beaten path is not on your agenda.
Wake up in the morning to the sound of peace and quiet. You can have coffee on your own private deck overlooking the pond, take a walk down the private lake access road, or on the adjacent country lanes that connect to other nearby private lake communities.
Take a dip in the community pool (it may be a little cool at times if Mother Nature is not playing "nice", but it is always a hit with the kids as there are complementary pool toys and a Maui Mat to be sure to put away what you used for the next person to enjoy the toys as well).
Fish off the private pier, take a refreshing swim in the lake, lounge on the private beach, take your boat out for a morning run, or the possibilities to start your day are endless.
The afternoons follow the same wide-open possibilities and the evenings can be used to have a fire in your own backyard fire pit roasting hot dogs or creating s'mores and amazing memories. You can also explore nearby restaurants, bars, movie theaters, the drive-in theater, or the local winery if something social is your goal.
NOTES:
All guests who are responsible for renting the cottage (the Primary Renter) MUST be 25 (twenty-five) years of age or older. The Primary Renter is required to stay at the cottage during the rental period; you may not rent the cottage for others who may be younger than 25 years of age.
This cottage sleeps a total of 5 persons in beds (6 if you have a little one under the age of 6). The maximum number of overnight guests staying in the cottage is 6. If there is an overage in the number of overnight guests, the Primary Renter will be charged $20/night/person.
The cottage is also PET FREE and strictly NO SMOKING. We must enforce this policy so that all our guests can enjoy a smoke-free stay and to avoid possible health issues regarding pet and/or smoke sensitivity, such as triggering an asthma attack or allergic reaction. Please respect and obey this policy. If you or someone in your party is a smoker, consider another rental nearby, or we request that you smoke outside on the back deck and discard used butts in a separate trash bag that will be kept outside at all times during your stay. Do not smoke outside within 20 feet of the cottage to avoid any smoke entering the house through open windows or doors. If any smoke damage or the presence of smoking materials or odor will result in the forfeiture of the entire Damage Deposit. NO EXCEPTIONS!
*CANCELLATION POLICY*: If Renter cancels reservation, payments will be refunded as follows:
a. Reservations canceled 30 days, or more, before the rental period begins (Check-In Date) will receive a 100% refund of all monies paid to Homeowner, plus the Service Fee paid to VRBO/HomeAway (to be issued from VRBO/HomeAway).
b. Reservations canceled 14 days up to 29 days, before the rental period begins (Check-In Date) will receive a 50% refund of monies paid, (not including the VRBO Service Fee paid to VRBO/HomeAway.)
c. Reservations cancelled less than 14 (fourteen) days prior to the start of the stay (Check-in Date) will receive NO REFUND of any rental monies paid to either owner or the VRBO/HomeAway Service Fee. The Damage Deposit will be the ONLY payment refunded to the Renter in this case.
d. Late arrival, early departure, bad weather, mechanical failure of travel vehicle or boat, loss of internet or Wi-Fi, power, etc. does not warrant any refund of rent or deposit.
e. Renters are encouraged but not required to purchase optional Travel Insurance from VRBO/HomeAway.
f. Cancellations must be made by 12:00 PM (Central Standard Time) on the appropriate day.
(*All refunds will be made to Renter, less any credit card transaction fees charged to the property owner by the Credit Card Processor)
**Refunds made by owner to traveler do NOT include the service fee paid by traveler to VRBO/HomeAway unless cancelled 30 days or more from Check-In date. See terms and conditions regarding the payments and/or refunding of the VRBO/HomeAway Service Fee. Owner has NO CONTROL nor DOES NOT RECEIVE the monies paid toward the VRBO/HomeAway Service Fee.
