Positive: The peaceful ambience, liked that it was away from the normal hustle and bustle of the beachy areas.

Negative: It would have been good if there was a lift, at the end bringing the cases down was lots of work but, i recognise it's an old house and we didn't ask for help from the staff... So not complaining just a reflection.

Negative: We stayed on a Monday where there is no dinner service and its a little far from restaurants and grocery stores so you'd need to plan ahead

Positive: If visiting Barbados and wanting a truly relaxing environment with outstanding staff and facilities plus an easy 15 minute meander down to the beach and Bridgetown, this is a must stay location !! A hidden gem which offers so much - all staff are so friendly, genuine and eager to ensure a relaxing time is had, restaurant and bar are set outside but under cover so always airy and relaxed with food, beverages and music all excellent, very flavoured and varied plus the hotel offers a cracking Bajan styled buffet lunch on Sundays. Definitely utilise the spa facilities - my better half and I opted for the couples massage which was so relaxing and the girls are excellent, very professional plus never rushed. There is a lovely area in which to sit out, a stunning swimming pool that is beautifully shaped into the rocks and garden that is never busy plus peacocks, green monkeys and hummingbirds mingle amongst the trees and flowers. A huge thanks to ALL the staff. Natalie, Nicole, Michelle and crew are so welcoming plus nothing is too much trouble. We will be back plus thoroughly recommend Sweetfield Manor as a location in which to relax, unwind and utilise as a base whilst enjoying this beautiful Island !!!!

Positive: We love the old style rooms and the how quaint the house . Lots of Peacocks greet you everyday. Small pond style pool. Beautiful sunset view.

Negative: Not a complete con. But you really need a car rental. Nothing really to do in walking distance. We knew that coming in. Our shower had a low pressure issue. Needs a better system.

Positive: The rooms were very comfortable. Old Bajan style with modern convenience. Great beds and AC. With only 13 rooms, the atmosphere is quiet and restoring. We love the old coral block buildings and walkways made from tile used as ballasts from days of old. The lagoon like pool was stunning. The coi pond delightful. The Peacocks on property a pleasant surprise. The coffee was superb, the best we have had on the island and we've had quite a lot over the years.

Negative: Would have loved a microwave in the room.
