Positive: Really good location, house is very spacious and has a lot of potential.

Negative: The house is up for sale and it appears the letting agents/owners are not as concerned with the comfort of their guests as they should be - especially for the price. The property isn't very well maintained; there's a bigcrack in one of the bedroom windows, the washing line is held up by a broom. Some of the furniture is very old and tattered e.g. Wardrobes in front bedroom. The property hadn't been cleaned very well - green windowsills, dirty tablecloth, toenail on the floor, dirty towel left hanging on a door. There is also nothing in the way of a welcome pack (I know this shouldn't be expected but is commonplace), no toilet rolls, coffee, tea, only a a tiny bit of handsoap, and no cleaning products. Not usually a problem except that they expect you to leave the property as clean as you find it, and clean the bathrooms before you leave! The biggest issue I had was that the property description stated towels included but they weren't. Despite admitting the mistake, the letting agents wouldn't do anything over the weekend to rectify this except suggest I buy some. They promised to call back Monday with a resolution but didn't. They just seem to have given up with the property so I'd suggest avoiding it until it's sold to more conscientious owners.

Positive: Location and space within the property was excellent as there was room for everyone without being on top of each other.

Negative: Couldn’t get the hoover to work, otherwise would have hoovered all the carpets. Instead we used the brush and did the best we could.
