Summary: Great historic hotel! Staff was great at accomodating our requests and so friendly. Location can't be beat. We were on 6th floor with a great view too. We loved walking out and being right on the water and short walk to heaches and stanley park, sunset beach, ferry to granville island. We saw the quaint restaurant and bar but did not have time to try those out, though they looked great. We would stay again!

Summary: Lovely Hotel. Great location. Only problem no Air Conditioning and couldn't sleep as room too warm. Electric fan and windows open made little difference.

Summary: Everything was wonderful. Right next to the beach with amazing sunsets. Close to lots of great dining options. Hotel was super charming with a lot of interesting historic features and a staff that took very good care of my family.

Summary: This ancient puppy has seen better days. The rooms are ala the last century. The furnishings are tired and the hallways are in need of new carpets and brighter lighting. We were most disappointed.

Summary: Always enjoy staying at The Sylvia. Love the quiet and quaint location. Right by the seawall, Stanley Park, and restaurants. Love that it's a boutique hotel and an historical landmark; photos of stories long passed displayed throughout the hotel.The staff are warm and friendly and provide exceptional service. I've stayed many times. Yes I highly recommend.
