Positive: We stopped at Talta overnight to rest from a long drive. The location is beautiful. The greenery and the creek put us in a relaxed mood. The facilities have a water fountain and lots of shared areas. The room was cozy but had everything we needed for our one night visit. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to our late arrival. We were also given a gift card for our next visit.
Negative: We arrived past midnight and our room cards did not work but after one phone call and 20 minutes of wait the staff resolved the issue without a problem.

Positive: Been coming here every year since opening. Location, Price, Facilities (although 2nd visit to hot tub was disappointing due to low water and only 97 degrees b/c rude guests didn't close the lid after using, and staff is not on top of it). Overall pool/sauna/hot tub can't be beat as long as they are being taken care of. Common areas are nice to have as well, upstairs and downstairs lobbies. Water is available, coffee available. Draft beer at front desk. Mountain shuttle stops across the street.
Negative: 2 Queen room is too small, beds up against the wall on both sides and can you provide at least one chair in the rooms? Lighting in rooms continues to be terrible, this is the same year after year, why hasn't it been fixed? Pool door locks behind you when you go outside to the hot tub, makes no sense? You actually have to walk through the downstairs bar Basement bar/restaurant and then down the hall and back to the pool to get back in. The staff confirmed this is the only option. They also suggested propping the door with a rock. Really? It's 10 degrees out you want me to prop the indoor pool door with a rock? Why can't you fix this with a different lock on the outside pool door? Downstairs bar is way way way too expensive and they think they are in Aspen. Actually prices were more than Aspen. The food is super eccentric, they need a more normalized menu and pricing and it could be great. Overall lobby and restaurant furniture is uncomfortable, not enough pillows.
Summary: Some bumps in the road since last time but still good.
