Positive: We stayed in a cottage for 6 people. The cottage was very cosy and we could see reindeers walking by the balcony. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Negative: The hidden costs were a bit annoying: 500kr for a dog, the “surprise cleaning” as you had to clean yourself the whole cottage with a very detailed list even though you pay extra for the dog… and you only get to know these after booking! Otherwise if you don’t want to clean yourself need to book a cleaning service 4 days before your arrival (cost unknown!)
Summary: Nice cottage but be aware of the hidden costs before booking!

Positive: This is a lovely place to stay. Quiet. The added bonus of reindeer walking and lying around the resort. We visited in the beginning of summer so not a lot going on as it is a ski resort. Has pretty much all that you need. Need to bring own linen.

Positive: Very nice and cozy modern apartment in beautiful quiet location. We rented apartment with sauna in what seems to be newer building in the complex, and it was very comfortable. Apartment has a nice terrace facing the forest. You may even see deer walking around. Multiple hiking paths are within short driving distance. If you come prepared (see negatives section) it is easily one of the nicest places for calm and relaxing stay surrounded by beautiful nature.
Negative: It would be perfect if not for hidden costs and poor communication. Only after you do booking (non-refundable in our case) you will get the message that you have to clean apartment yourself or order final cleaning for additional fee and well in advance. Another surprise is that linen and towels should be rented for additional fee. What is worse is that from message you receive it is unclear that linen and towels is not only for additional fee, but should be ordered in advance. On top of that, host is threatening you with 140 EUR fine if you call them with questions they will dim "non-emergency" (and there is no clear definition of what is considered "emergency"). So we end up driving through neighboring towns in search for linen and towels to purchase.

Positive: Tannaskroket is easy to reach from Oslo by car. The cabin itself is beautiful, plenty of space, nice Scandinavian style. Very nice personal, also good communication before arriving, they were very helpful. Thx to Gwen and Suzanne. We had some private lessons from Alexander. Very friendly ski instructor, he took us a little out of our comfort zone but gave us self confidence and after 3 days we could explore the slopes on our own. There were some "play"slopes in the woods which our sons loved to do. In short we will come back next year!
