Beautiful cozy cottage with 2 bedrooms (king & double bed, along with self inflating twin air mattress in closet - all linens are provided), 1 bath, free Wi- Fi, smart TV in every room, washer/dryer, full kitchen, BBQ, two paddle boards along with two kayaks to enjoy, bonfire pit, hammock for relaxing naps. The atmosphere is peaceful with beautiful views of wildlife, watch boats stroll up and down the river right from the back deck. Dock your own boat with access to boat launch 5 minutes away @ $5, bring your own life jackets. Stroll thru multiple lakes which include Crooked, Burt, and Mullet with endless adventures and historic scenery (swinging bridge, locks, boathouses, etc.). Summary: This is our 3rd year stayibg at the cozy cottage over the Thanksgiving holiday. My daughter and family now consider this to be our tradition. The locarion, amenities and laid back vibe make this a perfect destination for iur family to alow down and enjoy the joliday and all the area has to offer each year. Summary: Great communication by hosts, check in and out was a breeze. In a great central location between Indian River, Petoskey/Harbor Springs, and Mackinaw City. Arrived to a clean, well stocked home. In the kitchen, lots of pans and plates. Seasoning cabinet well stocked, with some coffee and kuerig pods. Lots of mugs including an ugly one with a block M on it. Bathroom was clean, shower with good water pressure. Only used the master bedroom, but the bed was comfortable and there was plenty of extra bedding for the cooler nights. Outside, the deck was a nice place to enjoy your coffee and read. We used the two kayaks and had a nice cruise. (Water is low so getting in and out was a challenge with the ladder) Check out: some VRBO rentals have pretty extensive lists for checking out. Requirements here were better than average(plates in dishwasher, beddingat the end of the bed, take garbage out). Will say, many of the plates and cups are plastic which makes it challenging to load them all top shelf only. Food in the area: Bob's was decent for lunch. Northwoods surprised us pleasantly with good portions and great food. Vernales, though expensive, is always good for the last night steak and cocktail.

Summary: We enjoyed a lovely little getaway here in October for a fall color tour. It was a great location for travel to Mackinaw, Tahquamenon Falls, Whitefish Point, Pictured Rocks and so much more. We brought our dog, Buddy, with us too! He felt right at home and enjoyed laying on his dog bed watching the river.

Summary: Quick getaway to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The cottage was very clean and cozy. We had a great weekend paddling and kayaking up and down the river. The cottage has a great location near a lot of awesome spots including Petoskey and Legs Inn. We had a beautiful weekend. Thank you!!

Summary: This cottage had everything we needed and more. Super comfy and clean! We appreciated the added little touches and felt totally at home. It was excactly what we needed for a quick family snowboarding trip and we'd love to come back to experience it in the summer months as well. Exceptional property!

Summary: We were skiing at Nubs Nob for the holiday weekend. The cottage was 15 minutes away so it worked out well. The communication with the property owners was great. We definitely would consider a return visit for sure!
