Positive: Cottage had lots of character. Decent location. The host made a point of greeting us. Cottage grounds are attractive. Laundry was useful.
Negative: Only one tiny waste container provided. Would have liked a garbage container in the bathroom. Bathroom very tight. No mirrors in the bedrooms. Kitchen is very tiny.

Positive: Very well stocked kitchen (coffee bean grinder and press, oven, micro, dishwasher etc). The cottage was clean, comfortable and warm even during a record cold Tasmanian winter. The host showed us around their gorgeous historic home just to make a particularly pleasant stay memorable. We will almost certainly be back, hopefully in the spring when the gardens are in bloom.
Negative: It is a little too far out of town to walk comfortably but this is more than compensated for by the quiet and serene setting.
