1 Bedroom Cabin in Brule

Small but tall. This is a 780 sq ft 3 story cabin in the woods 1/2 mile from the Brule River. The first floor has a bedroom with a full size bed, stackable washer and dryer in hall with a full bathroom (shower). The second floor is a combination kitchen living area, along with a 10 x 20 covered deck. The third floor is a loft with two fulls size beds with glass panels allowing great views out the big western facing windows. In keeping with the small size and having as much livable space as possible, the stairs from the first floor to the second floor is from a lower walkway to the covered deck on the outside of the building. There is a sliding library ladder on the second floor to access the third floor loft. Fire pit and wood available for a relaxing evening. Enjoy coffe in the morning with many of nature’s friends.

Summary: Great hosts and exactly what we needed. We were so happy with our stay in August, we booked again for our anniversary. Peace and quiet, deer and turkey and peak fall colors. Will definitely book here again.

Cons: --Didnt enjoy going outside to get from living area to bathroom & brm; --Not good reading lamp in brm; --TV in brm. VERY large & directly above above foot of bed; --Only one reading lamp & end table in LR.

Summary: I spent a nice crelaxing week at the Taj Matall for a fishing trip to the Bois Brule. Charming, cozy cabin. It had all the amenities I was seeking in a vacation rental: wi-fi, streaming entertainmwnt, washer/dryer, a full kitchen with a coffee maker(the one essential for any stay). The cabin was clean and very comfortable. The location was perfect at roughly a half mile from May's Ledges on the Bois Brule, a short drive north to Lake Superior and south to Brule. The setting was wonderful in a nice peaceful meadow surrounded by pines. The local fauna would visit every morning and evening: deer, turkeys, blue jays, and chipmunks. The sunsets and sunrises over the pines are stunning. The night sky in a sight to behold as well. No light pollution clouding the stars. Low waters on the river meant tough fishing, but my stay at the Taj Matall was better than I hoped it would be. I would definitely rent from Nate and Jenny again. In fact, I'm already lokking at my calendar.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay and will certainly book here again. The Wisconsin wilderness at your doorstep. We spent most of our time out fishing the Brule and it was nice to come "home" to a quiet comfortable space to relax and rest up for the next adventure. Coffee on the upper deck in the morning was a great way to start each day.
