Positive: This place is not in Taormina it on the beach near the highway/train station below Taormina. The downtown Taormina by driving to the cable car station and taking the 10 Euro/person cable car to the top. Obviously we were able to park our rental car easily here which was an important criteria for me. The shutters don't work so expect to rise and shine early as sun rise happens on the sea right on your face. It was good that we saw the couple of sun rises on the beach with very few people. There is a grocery min market near by (4 min drive) to get essentials. The cable car is great to get to Taormina. It runs through 1:30 am in the night. This place is tiny and a small balcony . many of the closets were filled with the owners stuff so we could not use to keep our stuff. I am not sure it will work for everyone. I would say as a family of 3 it worked out for us. We didn't use kitchen as we were eating out. Only thing we used was the hot water kettle to make quick morning tea. The bath room lights are too dim and the hot water runs out after 2 people have taken shower. The entire place appeared run down.

Summary: It workout for some others will hate.

Positive: I had a pleasant stay at this apartment with location right on the beach – waking up to sea view was wonderful! However, the train runs right behind the building, which can be a bit noisy at times. The furniture and equipment are a little dated but still functional.

Negative: If you're not traveling by car, getting to the city center can be a bit complicated. Additionally, the driveway from the gate to the parking lot is a bit challenging to navigate, especially for larger vehicles or at night.

Positive: The Apartment is literally at the beach just a few steps down the stairs and you can lay in the sand and go for a nice swim. It was very clean and has a charm of it's own, very lovely with the balcony and the amazing view! The supermarket is close by and has everything one needs. It's also 7 driving minutes away from the town of Taormina which is honestly the most beautiful little town I've ever seen in my life, really breathtaking with the Greek theater as well! The bed is really comfortable and the perfect size for 2 people, actually really big, the bathroom is also surprisingly big and the shower had a really good waterflow with a nice regulation of hot, warm and cold water. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything one needs to cook nice meals. The fridge is huge and has a nice freezer, we froze our water overnight to take it to the beach the next day. The biggest plus was the air-conditioning which worked perfectly the entire time and was definitely needed in the heat, we we're lucky enough to watch the Etna be active with lava coming out and after that it was really warm so, that was amazing! Also, the huge free parking space made the trip ssooooo much easier, especially after seeing the struggle of other people with finding a parking spot!

Negative: The train that passes by is really loud so if someone is a light sleeper it might be difficult... the pressure of the sinks is really strong so be careful with the water splashing and find that sweet spot. The mosquito net of the balcony was broken so we had to be very careful to not let any insects in. One definitely needs a car to get around, because the streets have no sidewalk and it's basically on a kind of highway. There is no full body mirror so if you're small you're not going to be able to see much of yourself haha. Also the Apartment looks a lot bigger on the pictures, it's just 1 small room and the bed basically takes up the entire space. That was no problem for us tho cause we weren't much inside the apartment anyway and it's also really comfortable for cuddling with your partner! The Apartment is not soundproof at all and there we're a lot of parties happening at the beach bars and clubs around, also in the weekdays. They mostly ended at 3 O'clock tho so that was fine for us. Also nothing to do with the apartment but the sunbeds of the beach bars nearby we're really expensive.. the cheapest ones we're 30€... would recommend to buy an Umbrella at the ARD Discounter (the supermarket) for 15€ and just lay ind the sand with a towel, we did that and saved a lot of money for our trip! We left it there so maybe you won't even have to buy one.
