The Targhee Lodge is a stunning, craftsman style home with a mountain modern flair. Located at 40 Lochen Fen Drive in Alta, WY, this handsome home is set right at the base of the Tetons, surrounded by rolling grassy fields and just minutes from Grand Targhee resort. Built to accommodate up to 16 guests, the Targhee Lodge is comfortable and spacious, welcoming, cozy, well built, well furnished and family focused. The expansive outdoor living area, built in hot tub patio and hearth style fireplace bring everything together to offer the ideal vacation home for discerning visitors.
Guests staying at the Targhee Lodge have direct views of the slopes and quick access to all the hiking, biking, skiing, snowboarding and fun Grand Targhee Resort has to offer. Privacy, quality and comfort abound at this stunning retreat. The town of Driggs is a convenient 7 minute drive away and offers great restaurants, shops and grocery stores.
With three sitting areas and massive windows looking out over the tall grassy fields to the Tetons and the slopes at Grand Targhee, the living room is the place to be. A hearth style fireplace is perfect after a day on the slopes or a cool summer evening. A state of the art media system and surround sound speakers also allow for a relaxing evening after the day's adventure.
The kitchen is a Chef's dream including a walk in pantry, professional grade appliances and high quality cooking equipment and kitchen amenities. A second refrigerator offers plenty of room for larger groups. Grillers will delight over the professional grade Weber gas grill.
A huge master suite, spacious and intimate all at once, opens to the hot tub patio and outdoor living area. The master bathroom, also huge, hosts double sinks, a floor to ceiling granite shower with a waterfall shower head and a deep jetted soaking tub. All of the guest suites are well appointed with plenty of room. The loft is located above the garage and offers 5 additional twin beds, two trundle beds and a media room for the kids. A game room with ping pong and a TV is just below the loft. A 3rd media room includes a flat screen TV, a sectional sofa and a Foosball table.
The large outdoor living area is about as good as it gets. Guests can sit back and enjoy an evening beverage on the cushioned outdoor living area furnishings, dine at the outdoor dining table and sit back in Adirondack chairs surrounding the enormous elevated iron campfire pit as an amazing day comes to an end. The built in hot tub will also be calling to those looking to sooth any sore muscles.

Summary: Staying here was a wonderful experience for our family of 12. There was more than enough space for everyone; kitchen was well appointed and the home was modern and updated. If you are seeking close proximity to Jackson, this may be an issue as it is an hour drive over the mountain. However, if you are looking for a quiet, peaceful and rural setting, this home is ideal. We loved it!

I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home was spectacular and very well appointed. The kitchen is a cook's dream. A beautiful home in a beautiful location. The only slight negative issue is the distance from Jackson (the other side of the Teton Pass.) For this trip that seems to be where most of our activities took place. However, we knew this about the home when we booked the rental. We just didn't realize how much time we would be doing things on the other side of the mountains. Other than that, it truly is an amazing property. Very comfortable and welcoming. There were 8 of us staying here and it was great having the extra space for our 3 grandsons. This lovely home was a very relaxing place to come back to at the end of a busy day.

The layout of the house was very functional, the kitchen was well stocked and the pantry had many things that came in handy during our stay. We liked the two dishwashers and ovens - very nice. The kid's room was a nice little getaway for the young ones, foos and ping pong, hot tub, firepit, etc. It was easy to declare a non-travel day visiting the local sites and just hang here! The backyard deck area was the biggest highlight. Lush grass (honestly it was watered a bit too much), amazing patio with a great fire pot and open fields leading to the foothills and no real neighbors..what more could you ask for? We were also happy with Cabin and Co and their customer service. We had an issue with the hot water and Internet and they were prompt in taking care of it. We would definitely stay here again!

Summary: I stayed here with about 10 other people during Targhee Fest and couldn't have been more impressed. I slept in the room above the attached garage. There were 4 single beds up there and it was very well put together. Plenty of room for 4 without it getting crowded. There were 4 other bedrooms that more than accomodated the guests. The common areas were very well put together with a great entertainment system with speakers throughout. Kitchen was roomy and well appointed with modern amenities. We easily prepared meals for all 10 people without stepping on each other's toes. Great outdoor area with gas burning grill, huge outdoor patio and table that comfortable sat us all. Very nice hot tub and lounge chairs around a huge fire ring. This property is much more than your typical rental property. It is obvious the owners take pride in this house and grounds. Beautiful views out the large windows on the back of the house to the near Teton range. Impossible not to fall in love with this property. Nailed it Cabin & Co. Keep up the good work and amazing attention to detail!

Summary: Wonderful place to stay with a beautiful view of The Grand. Plenty of space for the whole family. Nice yard and hot tub! Had a blast grilling dinner outside and hanging out by the fire pit late night for drinks and smores! Super close to Targhee and the town of Driggs. Thank you to Cabin & Co for setting it up for us. I highly recommend this property. Can't wait to come again soon!
