Summary: Definitely worth a stay if you like nature. The local walks were delightful. The social history is interesting. Take your golf clubs, the golf course is well maintained. The cabin was clean, the bed comfortable and the heating was good. Self catering was fine for a couple of days.

Summary: The accommodation was roomy and comfortable and a chance to discover history. It's a nice stay. Need to bring supplies as currently there's no shop or restaurant open. Kids will love the farm animals.

Summary: We loved our stay at Tarraleah Cottages. So clean, and warm. So many things to do. The kids loved the coo's, and we got so lucky with the snow! The walk to the falls was such an experience, we loved it. Our cottage was fabulous, lots of room and we loved the huge wood box full of wood. Would go back in a heart beat.

Summary: Great place to stay to break journey between Hobart & Strahan. Quaint Art Deco cottage. Very clean with cooking facilities. Reception was unattended on arrival and departure but had been kept updated prior to arrival by email. Bed was a bit firm but that is personal preference. Log fire was nice and heating had been turned on prior to arrival. Interesting to learn history of the village.

Summary: Our accommodation was in the Scholars House; a duplex. The building was barn like and the room had high ceilings. Novel for us. It was cold and I found an extra quilt in the hallway "bedbox" which was lucky. There is proficient heating in the room. The keys were awkward and we helped another couple to turn theirs. Just as well we did because there is no-one on duty over the weekend after Saturday lunch time and so there is a feeling of nobody looking after the place. There was a wood fire in the communal area but we didn't know how to use it and no-one to ask. There are tables and chairs and a kitchen to cook food. There was a laundry room which was excellent. We went to the Highlanders for dinner which was nice and had a walk the next morning in the local forest next to the dam. The forest smelled lovely and although the waterfall was low the walk was the highlight of our stay. We enjoyed our stay.
