Positive: The property is in a great location with stunning views. All the amenities are outstanding! The hosts were very friendly and responsive. I sent them a message at 6am on Saturday morning as was unable to find the loo roll. They replied immediately and delivered some outside our door, this was highly appreciated.
Negative: Nothing
Summary: One of the best places I have stayed in

Positive: The most incredible beautiful view of the sunrise and landscape. It’s a really cosy home that feels like home away from home. Great close parking. Everything you need. Cosy beds. The owners were so kind! And went the extra mile to make sure it was comfortable for us, as we were travelling with a baby; they turned heater on before our arrival; and put out a play mat, books and toys. It was so sweet. Brand new washer and dryer. We could go on.
Negative: Very minor! And it’s not that we didn’t like it. But just some feedback if useful. The water temp is very hot - so just be mindful of that if staying with small children. The chairs around the table look great, but are a little uncomfortable, and could benefit from padding or a cushion.
Summary: Incredible morning views of sunrise and region. Kind hosts make it feel like home away from home.

Positive: Te Mata Peak Retreat is a beautiful space with 3 bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen and a lounge. It has a cute little garden and a garage for your vehicle. Me and my family/friends stayed for 1 night so we didn't get to take advantage of the beautiful space and use it as much as we would have liked but we stayed here as it was close enough to kape kidnappers which we hiked before arriving here at the retreat. There was an issue with the hot water which we addressed with the owner and we were directed to the boiler switch and given instructions on how to get the hot water working. We ended up having cold showers before bed, however by morning the hot water was working. The owner was responsive even though it was late at night when we got there and contacted her about it, she was very lovely and helped us figure out what to do. I appreciated her responsiveness and she was very apologetic about the issue. We found out that the boiler is an old boiler with a hot water switch which needs to be switched on and left until the water has heated up to be able to have a hot shower. If you are going to stay here (and I do recommend it because it is a lovely space) just be aware of the boiler switch and ensure you check it is switched on before you take a shower, especially if you're like me and enjoy a hot shower after a long day. All in all, a great space to stay and worth checking out Te Mata Peak if you are staying.

Positive: We arrived late - it was windy, rainy and dark, and we had 3 very tired kids. But our moods lifted when we opened the sliding door and turned the lights on. What a lovely home - very clean and beautifully furnished - huge television (which I couldn't get to work but my digital natives sorted it for me) - 6 seater dining table, comfy sofas, heatpump. The three bedrooms all had double /queen beds -and really nice linen and towels.. This property had everything we needed - we all felt very much at home and were very grateful to stay here. Extra bonus - off street parking for two cars! Excellent value for money!
Negative: Absolutely nothing! However it would be great to have twin beds in one of the bedrooms rather than the double bed. Not a biggy though - as two of the kids shared the bed (divided by a pillow wall!) without any issues.
Summary: Great value for money - home away from home ;)

Positive: We stayed for two nights over the Easter holidays, and it was truly a memorable experience. The holiday home is perched at the top of the road, offering beautiful mountain views. It’s in a convenient location, easy to access, and the property itself feels fresh and newly built. The home is very well maintained, clean throughout, including the bed linen, and tastefully decorated with a lovely interior. It had almost everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. keep up the excellent work!
Summary: well-maintained holiday home with lovely views and a peaceful stay.
