We welcome you to our cozy and quaint cabin where you can enjoy glorious views and amazing history. Come to the crossroads of the Mississippi River and Wisconsin River to relax and enjoy small town life.
The loft bedroom boasts a wall of windows with amazing views of the Mississippi River.
The lower level has a small kitchen and bathroom. The living room is equipped with an electric fireplace and large TV for cozy and romantic evenings. (The home is not heated - so stays in May or October may be a little chilly depending on the weather). More river views are available in the front sitting room.
Outside is a large deck, cooking grill, and screened-in porch to enjoy the nature and beauty of the Mississippi Valley. Just across the road is access to Wyalusing Beach on the Mississippi River with access to swimming, boat launch, and fishing areas.
The cabin is intended for double occupancy only and is enforced with external cameras. Failure to comply or tampering with the cameras will forfeit your security deposit.
Please do not smoke inside the house or the screen porch. It is your responsibility to dispose of your cigarette butts safely and properly. Please do not litter. Thank you.

Prairie du Chien (13.5 miles north) has five National Historic Landmarks and nine sites on the National Register of Historic Places representing its significant history. The five Landmarks were the first designated in the state. Its rich history and location by the Mississippi River, make the city a popular destination for tourists. The Prairie Villa Rendezvous, a gathering to recreate the atmosphere of a 19th-century fur trading camp, has been held annually in the city every Father's Day weekend since 1975, it attracts tens of thousands of visitors. Hunting and fishing have long been popular in the area. The opening of Cabela's fourth outlet store in the city in 1998 firmly established the city as a destination for sportsmen.

Wyalusing State Park (only 2.5 miles away) is situated at the junction of the Mississippi River and Wisconsin River. There are hardwood and pine forests, bluffs and wetlands. Many forest animals typical of Wisconsin take refuge here, along with seasonal migratory birds. There also exists a legend about a treasure, stolen from a nearby military fortification's salary, supposedly buried on a bluff somewhere in this area.
Nelson Dewey State Park (20 miles south) is a 756-acre (306 ha) Wisconsin state park on the Mississippi River. The land was once part of the Stonefield estate of Nelson Dewey, the state's first governor.

Summary: Great to drink coffee on the porch and watch the barges and trains go by. We also biked down to Glen Haven via County X and Dougway Road. Great location for enjoying Wyalusing if you don’t want to camp.

Summary: My boyfriend and I went on a short fishing trip/getaway and we stayed here. The house was amazingly clean and located around gorgeous views. We had everything we needed. The weather didn't cooperate for a lot of the outdoor stuff we had planned, so we had to be indoors a lot- but having this space made our trip! I would highly recommend this space to any of my close friends or family.

Summary: It was a great little place with a awesome location. It was homey and had everything we needed. The bed was a double and am used to a king, but this was my only change wish. Loved the porch and view🌹

Summary: My husband and I wanted to hit the reset button after a stressful month. This was a perfect location. House was perfect size for two people. Michelle was helpful with a few minor issues. Inside house was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the short walk across the road to the beach. Trains were not too bad at all. Highly recommend bringing some games as my husband and I enjoyed quiet nights playing a few we bought at Walmart. My husband and I found an adorable winery just over the river in Iowa which was a perfect day trip. Bring bug spray or stop at Walmart and buy some if you plan to enjoy the outside. Also recommend you bring camping chairs to enjoy at the beach. Walmart has a great selection of food to make meals at the house. Towels and bed linens were clean and very comfortable. Recommend you bring your own hair dryer if you need one. Overall this was a perfect weekend getaway! We can’t wait to plan our next trip.

Summary: I really enjoyed my time at Tëmike Terrace. I needed to get away from all the noise and craziness of work, family, everything. This cozy little cabin provided me the comfortable space and solitude to recharge and catch up on some reading. Everything was clean and well-stocked. All in all, I have zero complaints about the three nights I spent here. It was a great getaway!

Summary: Michelle was very responsive and extremely kind and helpful. This location was wonderful across from the large Wyalusing beach. It was quiet and beautiful. The train is definitely active, as mentioned by the property owner. If you’re a light sleeper it may be a problem for you. We were able to manage and enjoyed being a short scenic drive from Wyalusing State Park and the Prairie du Chien area. If you’re looking for a simple older cottage vibe of a getaway, definitely check it out.

Summary: This little cabin was perfect for a romantic getaway! The beach is within walking distance and Wyalusing State Park is only a 3 minute drive away. And while the train line is active, I found it more charming than disturbing. I was never woken up by any trains at night, but I do sleep with a sound machine and the AC going. The only downside was I was hoping there would be an oven and there was only a stove-top in the kitchen, but otherwise it was a great little place to stay and very affordable for it's location and amenities!

Summary: Overall good stay. Close to the beach and Wyalusing State Park. I tried getting in touch with the property owner in regards to the television operation as when we arrived there was severe weather. I was hoping to get a local channel to see a weather report which we did not. The train tracks didn’t bother us a bit. If you pick this location for a short stay you’ll have a good time.

Summary: We had a very nice relaxing time. The cabin was very clean, there is a beach across the street. You are also 10 miles or so away from fast food, grocery stores, ect. You also have free wifi, fire tv with HBO. Had a great time.
