Summary:
The campsite is in Canaan Valley in Tuftonboro, NH, located in the Ossipee Mountains. The mountains are what is left of an old extinct volcano that erupted around 100 million years ago. After three eruptions ten million years apart, the famous ring dike was formed. There are only three mountain ranges in the world that are similar.
From this campsite, you can hike to vantage points that will look over Lake Winnipesaukee, and if you continue on, there is time enough in the day to reach the top of Mt. Shaw that will give you the view Mt. Washington and the White Mountains.
On-site, the mountain-fed pond is great for swimming and has cleaner water than most lakes. Enjoy the mowed field for games or sun.
Walk to our local artist and woodworking shops. You can take a wood carving course here in the valley. Visit local attractions like the Castle In The Clouds, Lake Winnipesaukee, and local town shops.
In the evening, enjoy the fire, stargaze, and fall asleep to the sound of Canaan Brook gurgling down the valley.
This campsite is equipped with the following:
Flush toilet.
-Screened in gazebo.
-propane heater
-Hot water outdoor shower.
-New gravel road allowing campers to drive right to the tent site.
-Well marked hiking trails.
-Clean mountain fed swimming pond .
-Charcoal grill and new picnic table at the pond.(supply your own charcoal)
-Campfire wood for sale on side of the driveway on the way into camp site.
-The queen size bunk bed is equipped with cover sheets only, so please bring your own bedding or sleeping bags.

Please drive into camp slowly and stay on the driveway at all times. Please do NOT drive on the mowed field. Park at site.
Interaction with Guests:
Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location on the property.
If a CampKeeper submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the CampKeeper’s property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!

Summary: It's a big, private campsite and everything was spotless. The water hose, outhouse with flush toilet, small sink, and shower out back (with hot water!) make it much more than a standard tent site. There is also a gas grill, charcoal grill with charcoal, and a firepit - wood is sold right onsite for $5. There's even a picnic table in a screen house. The bunk beds are queen size with air mattresses, (which do squeak when you move, like all air mattresses do - you could always bring a sleeping pad.) It's very quiet and dark at the property, perfect for stargazing. The pond is clean and pretty, if it hadn't been so rainy and cool we would have definitely used it. You can walk right from the site to hiking trails (fair warning, they are fairly steep) with beautiful views of the mountains and lakes. It's also only 20 minutes or so to Conway for anything you might need. I would definitely stay here again!

Summary: We booked this place for a guys weekend. We wanted to be out of town but not too far away. It was so nice there, that we didnt want to even go out to town. The bathroom with a flushing tolet, the shower and fauset and sink up in the woods is awesome. The wall tent and screen room are awesome to hang out in when it starts to rain. We chose to tent on the edge of the field and set up pop ups and tables but you dont need them. Lets not forget the pond... the cleanest pond water you will ever swim in. This is not an ordinary pond it has a nice beach easy walking in not mushy. The pond is deep which made the floating warf in the middle fun to jump off. Also you share the pond with beautiful rainbow trout. The best thing about the property is the owners Patty and Jim. They are really good people and have put a lot of work into this piece of land, and are willing to talk about it if you ask. They live on the other side of the field and you cant even tell they are home. We had so much fun, and would definitely rent again.

Summary: We booked last minute as a place to camp the night before going hiking. We were looking for a place to enjoy the outdoors without having to spend the effort of setting up and taking down a campsite. Our expectations were exceeded! What an absolutely amazing place to stay. Can't wait to come back and stay for a longer period of time next season. The owners definitely put their heart into creating this cozy space to enjoy the outdoors!

Summary: My daughter and I really enjoyed having a working toilet, hot shower, clean space to sleep, and best of all a wonderful pond to enjoy. We swam, made sand castle, caught baby frogs and pollie wogs. We also got to feed the rainbow trout. The owners were very welcoming and polite.

Summary: Gorgeous property, hikes that start at your camp site and the summit over looks lake winni, beautiful man made pond fed by a brook, a dock to jump off of, dog friendly, bundles of wood available for sale on site, you can park your car with all your gear next to your tent, you are the only campers on site! We stargazed in the field at night surrounded by light bugs! All around great experience, the owners of the property are very sweet, genuinely good people. We hope to book again soon. The only thing to be careful of is checking for ticks but that is to be expected.
