Guest Access:
This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature!
Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed (see photos for the exact setup). The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that’s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night.
Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation.
Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean.
Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.

Other Things to Note:
Feel free to explore the farm or tour the rock-wall lined neighborhood bike loop... and definitely take a dip in the local swimming hole across the street!
I have 3 small daughters and there are 3 cats on the farm as well as many chickens. Please keep your animals on a leash and don't let the chickens out, lol.
Interaction with Guests:
Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location on the property.
If a CampKeeper submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the CampKeeper’s property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!

Summary: We enjoyed the tent, firepit, and tranquility of Spellbound's haven. There was a good two burner propane stove and some firewood (we brought our kindling). The campsite was in need of a bit of picking up, mostly stones and sticks that others might say add to the rustic charm. It is very private-a beautiful spot in the woods and close to all the fun of midcoast Maine. We loved spending time at Ayers park in Union (fishing, swimmimng). The Sterlingtown Publick House was a wonderful restaurant we enjoyed just 5 minutes away. Our dog loved exploring while we relaxed (we kept an eye out because the ducks at the farm are not so far away). Unfortunately we didn't meet the hosts but appreciated the good communication and directions.

Summary: As an avid tent camper I found this place to be pretty much perfect. If you don't camp often, I'd suggest reading the other reviews as I found them helpful and accurate, but if you're used to roughing it you'll find this place charming and cozy. We got down pours on our second night. If we were in our traditional setup this would've meant leaving quickly the next morning and dealing with everything being wet. Instead, we had a big ol canvas tent and a propane space heater rippin to keep us toasty and dry. Plenty of dry storage around the campsite made rain proofing our setup super quick. That's what sold the glamping approach to me. Having a ready heat source in that kind of weather was so nice. Add to that the seclusion and natural beauty of the area and this place has it all. Now, if you're more of a bed and breakfast 🍳 or hotel person, this spot isn't for you. If you like having the woods to yourself, geese and chickens running the show, and more hiking, swimming, and tastings then you can pack into a weekend, go.

Summary: Great location in a nice spot, private and surrounded by unspoiled nature, but not so remote that it gets earie and too far from civilization if you need it. The tent itself held up well to Eliza that came through while we were there. Bed is comfortable. I'm not digging the whole bathroom in a bucket deal, but it is better than nothing though bathroom in any of the State Parks are definitively better (pre-COVID that is ). It would help is there was a hook that we could suspend the camp shower from and one more minor improvement that would make a big difference.... some sort of step to be able safely step on a platform from the ground. First day we came in it was not too bad since Im 5'.7'' and most of it is in legs, but the following days after hiking, legs tired, it became increasingly difficult to get from the ground onto the platform where tent is....it is an easy fix and a few cylinder blocks or dozen of bricks could do the trick, I think... oh, I almost forgot the farm itself is very pretty. Chicken coop is wonderful. I wish my kids were still little to come and enjoy it. Christine is Good host. I'd certainly want to come back if in the area
