Summary: The Tentrr site at Lamoine State Park is beautifully located on a rolling hill near the public boat launch - but far enough away that there is still some privacy. The setting is wonderful and the use of the campgrounds showers/bathrooms/dish washing station is great. This was our second time at this site and we did have a couple complaints this year. Mowing: the field is mowed well but no one had moved the picnic table/cook station in weeks and the two foot high grass under the table was not appealing - and easily solved by moving the table ourselves and leaving the long patch of grass for future mowing! Also, the unexpected 60 yard walk from car to tent was not expected as we were only told of this upon arrival. (It was explained this was due to a wet season and the possibility of getting stuck.) We are seasoned tenters but we typically utilize the car to secure food and other items. Thus, we arrange sites with parking - and this was not the case this year for this site. While this was an inconvenience, we did enjoy our stay once we worked past our initial negative reaction to the "walk in site" we did not anticipate. It is a great site. The setting and accommodations are wonderful with spectacular views, exceptional privacy for a campground site, and abundant wildlife to view - but we would have appreciated knowing about the walk from car to campsite in advance.

Summary: We wanted to tent in the mountains but with the time of yr we wanted to be able to stay dry. Thankfully we didn’t, it rained a lot!! And we stayed dry and warm! This was the best trip I have ever been on with friends. Partially the friends but also the Tentrr . It was extremely secluded. With a beautiful view just around the corner. IMPORTANT!! We arrived after dark and drove around for probably 20 minutes trying to find it. We couldn’t get an answer from the camp host and the signs we eventually saw were very small. The tent is a good ways off the road.

Summary: Honestly, everything about this property was AMAZING and exactly as advertised. However, we missed the first night entirely because we arrived in the dark and the sign for the site was literally like 2" by 2".... even the park staff said the next day that the signage was horrible and that no one could ever be expected to find it. They've complained and have had people complain to no avail. All of the links to contact the property manager were broken, there was literally no way to rectify anything or even ask questions.

Summary: This was our first time using a Tentrr site, and we enjoyed it very much. As tent campers in the past, we brought our cooking gear and our pop-up awning, which were all helpful. But we did not have to contend with a tent or the accompanying gear. The queen size bunkbed was adequate. We brought a sheet to cover the mattress and threw our sleeping bags on top for our queen size bed.Every time someone rolls over it squeaks quite a bit. With just the two of us it was fine but I would question someone sleeping on the top bunk above us. I’m not sure how well it would really work, particularly for four adults. Maybe two adults in a small child? Not sure. But for the two adults in our group it worked great. It was nice being up on the platform. And since it did rain unpack out day, and we took down the awning and packed up the gear the night before, made leaving in the morning a breeze. The setting of the tender site at the Morin State Park is gorgeous. While you can still use the shower house and amenities of the park, it’s almost like having a private campsite. Near the water. Some trees are slightly in the way of the view but it is still stunning.

Summary: Wonderful location. Away from the crowds of Acadia and just 30 minutes to the park. Perhaps the best camping location I’ve stayed in.

Summary: We were not prepared for how cold it would get. Air mattresses were not so comfortable and added to cold and the heater was tough to use. But the site was well kept and other campers quite friendly.
