Summary: I enjoyed every minute of my stay chez Annie, a comfortable house in the most wonderful location. The silence on the top terrace in the early evening, as the sun goes down, is quite remarkable. There are one or two other houses nearby but you can't see them, just the hills going on forever. Planning my next stay already.

Summary: We had a wonderful weeks holiday in Annie's gite. Everything was perfect. The house is beautifully appointed, with a comfortable lounge, well equipped kitchen, light and sunny bathroom and two very comfortable bedrooms. Outside, there are a variety of terraces and garden spaces to enjoy the beautiful outdoors, with the piece de resistance being the wonderful upper terrace that stretches all round the house. The whole place is infused with a glorious tranquility. Swinging in the hammock, surrounded by greenery and blue sky, with the only sound the wind in the trees, the birds and cicadas was heavenly. Annie herself is very welcoming and thoughtful. The fruit, the wine, the lavender scented soap were all wonderful touches. In the week we were there, apart from a couple of trips to nearby villages and Dieuifit for shopping, we didn't stray far. The surrounding area is brilliant for cycling and there are marvelous walks through green pastures right from the door. If you want a restorative holiday, close to nature and away from it all, this is for you. I loved every minute of our visit and am already longing to return. Thank you Annie!

Summary: We enjoyed one of the most restful, tranquil, romantic weeks of our lives here. We could not tell from the photos on the website how isolated the house actually is, nor how beautiful it is, but on arriving we discovered that, in the best possible sense, we were truly "in the middle of nowhere" The nearest town for shopping etc. is half an hour away, we shopped for food on our way in and didn't get in our car again until we left- just what we wanted. The house had everything we needed, a lovely little kitchen for cooking, a comfortable bedroom and no end of choice spots inside and out for eating, coffees, reading, daydreaming, napping or just taking in the spectacular views and listening to the sound of the wind in the trees. Annie has decorated the interior as tastefully as you would expect for an artist and the garden outside is equally beautiful- the hundreds of flowers attract a kaleidoscope of butterflies daily and there's even a veg patch with herbs and salad we were encouraged to help ourselves from. Annie welcomed us on the first day, she stayed in touch by text as our arrival time changed a few times and she was very helpful, relaxed and warm, making sure we were well settled in before she left us for the week, only returning on the final day to make sure we got off ok. For us this place was perfection- we read our books, went for walks in the woods (we even saw a wild boar!), ate well and slept peacefully- we could have used it as a base to visit the many cultural attractions nearby too- maybe we'll do that on our next trip!

Summary: This is a very nice house situated in a stunning and peaceful environment on the top of the Col de Valouse. It has two nice bedrooms with good double beds and apart from this the house has everything you need (kitchen equipment etc...). The environment is ideal for hiking and especially for road and/or mountain biking as there is very little traffic and the surroundings are simply stunning with a lot of 'cols'. For anyone that enjoys the outdoors or just wants to spend some days in a beautiful landscape I can very much recommend this house.
