Summary: We discovered The Art district with restaurants and live music was only a .2 of a mile walk from the house. Another perk was sitting outside on the upstairs sun porch!

Summary: Beautiful historic home in Galveston turned into a hotel with 6 rooms. We stayed in the Paris room for 4 nights. It was close enough to walk to shopping and restaurants on the Strand and the pier. Short drive or trolley ride to the Seawall. The house is filled with antiques and on a very quiet street. We absolutely loved our trip.

Summary: The 1890 Freeman house is definitely a place you want to stay. So much history you can feel just walking in. Didn’t experience any negative vibes, just felt like home and slept great. I Will be returning, that's for sure.

Summary: My mom and I were going on a cruise and spent the night in Galveston. We chose The 1890 Freeman House because it looked beautiful and unique. We were not disappointed! The house is beautiful. It's filled with antiques that keep the charm of an old Victorian House, but it still has all of the modern conveniences (fast Wifi, televisions in the room, fully equipped kitchen, etc.). The owner is not on property but great at communication. She emailed and texted while we were there to make sure that everything was going smoothly. Check in and check out was super simple. Besides, the house being beautiful, the location was perfect! It's in a neighborhood full of historic Victorian houses, and it's walking distance to: downtown, the Strand district, and the seawall. I would definitely stay there again!
