We welcome you to our recently renovated A-frame located in the picturesque seaside settlement of Port Levy, an hours drive from the city and airport.
You will be staying in a cosy, two bedroom aframe on our property. This is located down our driveway. There may be farm vehicles, stock or working dogs passing the aframe sometimes, but this is all part of the experience of staying in this rural area!
Downstairs provides open plan kitchen, dining and living, a bedroom with two single beds, bathroom/laundry and a separate toilet.
Upstairs on the mezzanine level is a large double room with a queen bed.

This 2 Bedrooms Cottage provides accommodation with TV, Sports/Activities, Child Friendly, for your convenience. This Cottage features many amenities for guests who want to stay for a few days, a weekend or probably a longer vacation with family, friends or group. Summary: We came for a couple nights to get away from the bustle of the city. The A-frame was clean, neat, and attractive. The beds were great and the kitchen well supplied. The surroundings were beautiful with the port hills, sheep, trees, cattle, the sounds of birds and bees. We enjoyed watching some of the action on the farm. Lovely, peaceful time just as we had hoped.

Summary: We definitely got our dose of rural remoteness at the A Frame - the location is very secluded at the end of winding roads with beautiful views and frequent greetings of sheep :) We're so glad that we had a big off-road vehicle for our stay at Port Levy. After coming from Queenstown, it was amazing to be further wowed by breathtaking views in Christchurch and surrounds! The property was clean and met our needs. It is interesting to note that all our NZ accommodation had no fly-screen - the upstairs to the A-frame was very warm at the end to the day and opening the window had let in quite a lot of mosquitoes! There are definitely less bugs in general here in NZ but fly-screen would still help!

Summary: We had a fantastic stay. The house is well equipped. We had a BBQ whilst enjoying the glittering displays of the stars in the night sky. Very comfy beds and a great place for a lovely getaway with friends!

Summary: The A-frame was everything we needed. Comfortable beds; well-equipped kitchen; clean and well-equipped bathroom which included a washing machine and powder; a linen cupboard. No passers by. A peaceful deck with shade umbrella and BBQ. TV and Wi-Fi. Only sounds … the occasional sheep and lots of birdsong. Great for blobbing with the water not too far away. Would love to return sometime. Summary: Ideal for everyone who wants to escape all urban amenities and be purely in the countryside. Courtney and George are very friendly and courteous hosts. Not ideal if you want to stay near restaurants, beaches or things to do/visit.

Summary: The A-frame in Port Levy was an ideal backdrop for a long overdue family catch up. The rural setting was a nice change for us townies and the house was the perfect size for the 3 of us (the full-size fridge very handy and we did catch up on a load of washing). The outdoor table provided a lovely spot for meals. We did day trips to Diamond Harbour, Akaroa and Lyttleton. A really rejuvenating break, thank you!
