Positive: Here’s a polished English review based on your points: ⸻ We had a wonderful stay at The Albatross in Kandy as a family of four with two children (10 and 12). What we appreciated most was the warm, family-like atmosphere that made us feel welcome from the very beginning. The views are absolutely stunning, and the pools are very pleasant and relaxing. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout our stay. The overall value for money is excellent. We also really enjoyed the extra amenities – the free billiard table was a big hit with the kids, as well as the opportunity to play chess. The jacuzzi and the tasty drinks were another highlight. All in all, we had a fantastic experience and would happily come back anytime. Highly recommended!

Positive: The location was surprisingly good. We were allowed to fly the drone over Victoria reservoir and golf turf. Spa facility was top notch with a sauna and steam bath facilities. Massage technician was professional. The bartender, Ayesh knows his job and made very good cocktails for us. Meals were delicious. We couldn’t expect more.

Positive: We had a wonderful week at The Albatross! The views were absolutely spectacular and the staff were amazing! We had the most delicious Sri Lakan meals! Hotel was very clean and bed was comfy. Overall, we have no complaints! Hope to go back one day!

Positive: Had an amazing stay at the Albatross, which is situated in a golf resort away from the hustle and bustle of Kandy. We stayed in the Tee Off suite which has the most breathtaking views of the hills and was very comfortable. The staff were very attentive and the chefs were excellent, inviting us to try a hand at cooking hoppers one evening! The guest house has a really nice homey vibe, with lots of entertainment like a pool table and dvds available. The staff also helped us organise a golf lesson nearby!

Positive: The view is absolutely stunning, it’s really worth it alone for the view. The rooms are well equipped. Good breakfast.
Negative: The staff was friendly but it felt a little bit anonymous since they couldn’t speak good English and weren’t as reachable as in other places we went to. No mosquito net.

Positive: The location. Very helpful staff. Sri Lankan food was good.
Negative: It was rather run down and our room furnishings were old. Curtains had holes in them. Not as expected at all. Extremely disappointing and only saved by having a wonderful view. Western style food was not at all good, mostly tasteless, undercooked and poorly presented .
Summary: Resort was extremely disappointing for such a prime location.
