Summary: Overall, this is a fantastic house. It easily accommodated our family reunion of 20 members, all age ranges. The decks were a bonus to watch the lake, boats, and an abundance of wildlife, from deer to eagles and chipmunks. All kitchen appliances and utensils were plentiful and in good operating condition. The steep gravel driveway is problematic to navigate, as well as the sloping property down to the dock. This rental is not suitable for ADA or those with mobility issues. The portable AC units throughout the house were barely able to keep a comfortable temperature in 90 degree days, but breezes at night through the screen doors kept us cool. The boat dock was terrific, providing the kids with shallow water for swimming and easy access for our 35 foot boat. We would stay here again without hesitation.

Summary: Pros Lakeside so great view Big bath and shower in master Lots of room to have many people stay Good linens and beds Clean Adequate dinnerware and cookware Property Manager was very responsive and attentive Allowed a service dog Ping pong and pool table was nice Some games … would have liked Scrabble but no biggie Gas BBQ Good seating on patios No bees … have seen a problem at other homes on lake Cons Drapes do not block any light making sleep impossible … big issue!! Some doors (master) don’t lock and some windows (basement) No water sports items for adults like floats or boards … bought and left a float & pump No ice ... big deal to us! No salt which seems minimally necessary No Kleenex No seating to sit on near water other than stuff that is hard to carry down Loud a/c units in some bedrooms if that is what they are since they look removable No fireplace … should say that on listing for those who might want that. Fire pit in an area near shrubs so wouldn’t try using that for fear of starting forest fire Location far from town which might be problem for some people Poor water pressure Have seen much more attention to detail at other VRBOs. I would prefer to stay on the other side of the lake, which might be an issue if people wanted to drive at night. They have a treacherous driveway as well.

Summary: Every year, we try to get together our immediate family (including three boys ages 12, 10, and 6) with our respective parents/grandparents. We have been to McCall once and CDA now twice, and this house is the most superior of all three experiences. Ample space, comfortable bedding, comfortable furnishings, enough electronic connectivity to suit our needs, and most importantly, on the lake! Of note, out of the 7 cell phones present, only 2 had service so take a screen shot of the WiFi and door codes. Our boys had a fabulous time fishing off the dock with their grandpas, tootling around the bay in the mini kayaks, and floating on the giant inflatable turtle. The game room downstairs is very well-equipped including a pool table that converts to a ping-pong table. Two full-size decks including a gas grill and ample seating finished off the exterior space nicely. The collection of cooking implements was a bit odd, for example there were zero baking sheets, but there was an electric griddle, and I think three blenders. There were a few minor oddities, including zero hand soap in any of the bathrooms, but the vacation rental authority was quick to offer a solution. As a tip, bypass the offering of beach towels to be purchased in advance and just hit up Costco or Walmart on your way in. We fed a family of nine for four days, three meals a day, on a $350 trip to Costco. By far and away a better choice than trying to eat out every meal, at least financially speaking. Great trip!

Summary: Our group was 19 in total - 8 adults and 11 children ages 2 - 14. It made it possible to gather our family And gave us the home feel and room to sleep. There is no yard to play on because the grass was not mowed and weeds not taken care of. The dock was nice. We were able to rent a boat and enjoy a day on the lake with the house close so that we could run up for lunch and nap time. The bathroom linens were fabulous!! There were no kitchen linens to care for that area of the house. There is limited internet and cell phone service. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Summary: We had amazing time with family while staying at this home on the lake. Benefits are good layout and floor plan for large group. It has a great usable deck that over looks the dock area. Dock area is the best part of this house . Your tucked in the end of Echo bay giving for amazing privacy and safety with little ones playing in the water. The dock is also in great shape. This composite dock is awesome and safe, no splinters or nails sticking up to get hurt on. Highly recommend this house. Internet is to be desired, couldn’t really steam things or look it up in your phone, not a dependable work from home internet connection . And data and cell service in this back cove of the lake is spotty. Very responsive service and the house was clean and ready upon arrival.

Summary: We stayed here this past weekend to celebrate a belated dual 30th birthday party. The house was big enough to comfortably sleep and accommodate our group of 14 and we loved the location on the water and how close it was to CDA! I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking to host a large group! The Good: - The house is HUGE and even with our large group of 14, we were more than comfortable all weekend. - The position on the water is amazing. You're close enough to CDA to be able to take a boat into town but in a quiet cove so you don't get a lot of the noise from the lake. - The property manager is extremely helpful and friendly and answered all of my annoying questions leading up to our stay. Definitely recommend! - Check out process was one of the easiest I've ever experienced The Bad: - The WIFI is NOT good. If you're looking for a place to work while on vacation, consider finding a coffee shop in town to kill a few hours. We struggled to load music or watch movies/TV and most of us (those with iPhones) weren't able to send texts due to the terrible connection. - The decks are AMAZING and having that outdoor space is awesome but they definitely need some serious TLC so be careful. A couple of the stairs were crooked/loose and it definitely seemed like the main deck might need to be redone/reinforced but we didn't really have issues. - The firepit wasn't available (but it was hot enough that we didn't need it) as the foliage and grass around it were completely overgrown. Like I said, we didn't need it but the yard could definitely use some upkeep to make accessing the firepit/dock easier in the future.

Summary: Stayed there for 4 nights. There were 4 families and we fit OK, give or take. The open main floor provided a lot of room to be together, which was quite nice. A big table and plenty of chairs. The kitchen was fully stocked with very good things like pans and glass pots. The dock was flooded but we managed to get on it. We fished from the dock (some small perch and bigger things rarely). The shed had fishing polls and chairs, but bring your own finishing line and the rest. There were a lot of other things for swimming in there too. Steep backyard. Some things that could make the stay better. * The pool didn't work. We tried to fix it; management was quick to respond; but eventually, we couldn't fix it. * Board games in the entertainment room wouldn't hurt. That's something of a bummer - if we didn't bring something, kids wouldn't have much to do except fishing. * The backyard was hard to walk around due to excessive greenery; lots of barbed grass; no clear walk path to the water. * Small beds in the entertainment room; 2 kids would barely fit there; definitely not for adults; swapping them for bunk beds would be a much better option * Flaky Internet * Having a rowboat would be awesome * Quite remoted - if you want to go anywhere, it's always 20 mins to the freeway on a rather windy road
