Positive: The August House is an exceptional place to stay! It was so comfortable, so intriguing and stunning. It’s a new and old mix of delight. We were only there for one night, but thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable and cozy. It was beautifully clean, and all the extras they include were lovely. We had to depart before we got to share in the breakfast experience, as we slept long than anticipated due to the comfort of those lovely beds. We definitely recommend a stay at The August House, especially if you want to disconnect, and be extremely relaxed and comfortable doing so. The community is easily accessible and lots of places to go and see.

Negative: The only thing I have “negative” to say, is the staircase should have another railing on the wall side.

Positive: The house was lovely - from the moment we walked through the front doors, there was a sense of being home after a long journey. The room and bathroom were very clean - plenty of space for our needs. Although there was only one chair in our room, the two common rooms more than made up for that small inconvenience. We appreciated the fact that before breakfast was served -we could get a cup of coffee from the small kitchen area on the second floor, Our stay ended too soon - we would definitely stay at the August House again - a real gem!

Negative: Nothing.

Positive: Very thoughtfully renovated property. We stayed in Unit 1 — everything was comfortable and spacious. The exposed structure of the wall in the kitchenette was a beautiful feature and a testament to how the walls were built back in 1850. Breakfast was homemade, and the scrambled eggs were exactly as we make them at home. The private sauna was a wonderful way to relax at the end of the day.
