Summary: This is a super place to stay. Cosy and quirky. Great to sample an iconic part of NZ history and culture. It was a short walk to pick up the Luxe bus tour to Milford Sound. It had everything we needed and more. Comfortable beds with warm quilts, a nice outdoor deck. A great place to cook for yourself. Would definitely choose it again.

Summary: Property was lovely and clean, freshly renovated and the kitchen was well stocked with pantry supplies which made it easy to cook dinner. One of the double bedrooms is in the living room as a side room with no door or curtain, which could be problematic if you wanted privacy. Didn’t affect my stay as it was only myself and a friend and we took a room each. Hosts were really great with communication. We had a lovely stay and would definitely book again.

Summary: The small kitchen was surprisingly stocked - better than other places we stayed (instant coffee but no maker, we bought a press in town). There’s both indoor & outdoor space, we used both. We liked the covered deck. Large yard, felt spacious, semi-private. Grateful to have use of a clothes washer. One of the bedrooms had bedside lamps, but no outlets for them to work. I had questions & they responded quickly. Quiet neighborhood, peaceful stay.
