Positive: The Barn was terrific!! Loved the seclusion! The entire space was very well done, and it was obvious that Janet and Julie took pride in and loved the space. Bed was very comfortable! Convenient location...Great bathroom space...and the entire space was super clean! And Janet & Julie were a pleasure to meet! I have already recommended The Barn to another friend planning a visit to the area at the end of the month and I hope that my husband and I will have the opportunity to return.

Negative: Also love that it was in the mountains and it wasn’t far from the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Positive: We really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and country setting. The location was good for our different day excursions around the area. We knew there was always a comfortable bed to lay our heads when the day was over.
Negative: We did find that you needed patience to wait for warm water to start flowing from the shower. We were patient and went about getting ready while it warmed.
Summary: Very pleasant and inviting. Our hosts were kind and available if we needed them.

Positive: The decor was very tasteful, relaxed and earthy. Open and bright in daytime and warm and cozy at night. Linens & towels were very nice. Three lovely lamps added to the warm feeling. Just to be clear there is no staff on site. You might meet the host if she is visiting her home.
Negative: Maybe the steep stairs from ground floor. They are however well lit. Care was taken in going up and down.
