Negative: The rooms were very hot, and even fans didn’t cool it down sufficiently. We had 2 rooms- the mattress in room 4 was lovely, the mattress in room 6 absolutely rock hard. The last issue was we were told breakfast was from 8.30 which was perfect for us as we had to check out at 9.15 to get to our event. We arrived downstairs at 8.30 and there were no staff around at all. The cleaner ended up taking our breakfast order, getting us a drink and serving us the food. We had to eat in a rush and there was no proper service at all

Summary: Good stay but some issues need to be sorted to justify the cost of the rooms.

Positive: The location was great for exploring the area. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the room was big. There was a car park behind the hotel which was very convenient. The staff were excellent and the food in the restaurant was amazing!

Positive: It was clean and roomy, coffee and tea making facility in the room was a welcome bonus for our very early start

Negative: No lift, the stairs to the accommodation were outside, narrow and steep and no light for when we were leaving at 4am. The food was inedible, I ordered a toasted sandwich that came out looking like it had been in the deep fat frier. The other 2 meals we ordered were almost consumed but both of them were also very greasy. The bathroom was big and beautiful, very clean but the automatic light was very bright, when I got up in the night to use the toilet, the moment you opened the door, you’re blinded by the equivalent of the sun….not ideal for the other 2 people sleeping (or my retinas) To get back to the car park, that is not well sign posted at all, there is no stable travel with a heavy suitcase, we had to drag our cases along a gravel path, using the torches on our mobile phones so we didn’t break an ankle. Not the quietest of routes so we did feel bad for the other guests

Summary: It was clean and tidy but the food sucked and it’s far easier to list the things we didn’t like about this accommodation
