Kick back and enjoy the peace and tranquility of no wake Bluegill Lake. This cozy little 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom cottage sits just 10 steps off the lake and offers amazing year round views. The lake is perfect for paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming or fishing (bluegill of course and bass) and is within ten minutes of all sports Otsego Lake and Big Bradford Lake if you want to ski, tube, or pontoon on a bigger lake. The Otsego Lake State Park beach is one of the best inland lake beaches in Northern Michigan and is right down the road as well as biking and hiking trails. Gaylord is 20 minutes away for all your shopping, golfing and dining needs. In the winter time, the snowmobile trails are within a half of a mile and skiing at Treetops and Boyne Mountain is fantastic. A good weather day trip to Mackinaw City, Mackinac Island, Sleeping Bear Dunes or to the UP falls are also within reach as well as a bad weather day trip to Traverse City or Petoskey for casinos and shopping! Either way if you’re looking to kickback and relax and do nothing or create an adventure filled Northern Michigan experience- the Bluegill Lake House will suit you just fine!

LAKESIDE LIVING- Deck with seating for breathtaking views, a log swing by the water, propane grill, rowboat, canoe, 2 kayaks, life jackets, picnic table, fire pit (you will need your own wood, but some may be left there), cornhole, dock for sitting or fishing off of, fish cleaning board in case you want to eat your catch, s’more forks and more- just email us if you would like a couple rafts to tie off of and float around or any fishing equipment- we can provide at no additional charge.
INSIDE THE COTTAGE-3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom as described. Living room has a full leather sofa and love seat, a leather recliner, electric fireplace and a TV with DVD player and several movies. The dining room has a table that seats 6 and a hutch that has games, puzzles and cards. The kitchen has a breakfast bar that seats 2, an upscale stove and oven with a built in microwave drawer that makes great popcorn, full fridge and freezer, pots, pans, utensils, dishware and flatware, toaster coffee pot, spices and more....

Summary: Our family enjoyed our time at the Bluegill Lake House. The home was very clean and complete with everything you would need. You are centrally located between Grayling and Gaylord, which makes it easy to grab groceries and dinner if you feel the need to go out. We also found great kayaking in Grayling and a lot of other activities to keep us busy!

Summary: My two sister's and I stayed here for a weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were hoping for some relaxing bonding time by the lake, and that's just what we got! There were enough kayaks for all of us, and we spent a lot of the time out in the lake with those. We were able to wind down at night by the fire or with some movies from their movie collection. They did not have wifi, and we were a little concerned that our phone service wouldn't work being out in the woods more, but it worked fine, and we didn't miss having wifi at all. Our only "complaint" would be the small water heater. Even with spacing out showers and taking 5 minute showers, most of us still had cold/lukewarm showers each time. All in all though, we really enjoyed our stay. We had everything we needed (including fans) and were really able to stay away from all of life's business. Gaylord was only 20 minutes away, and they had an ice cream shop 5 minutes down the road which was a really nice find! We would absolutely come back again if given the opportunity to! :)

Summary: I booked the Bluegill Lake House for my two best friends and me to enjoy a girl's trip and unwind. The house was perfect and we loved the location. I wish we had more time to spend relaxing and enjoying the lake, but we had a full itinerary. Jason was very accommodating and we really enjoyed our stay. I would love to book again next summer!

Summary: We loved the pricavy and coziness of the wooded lake front. The host was responsive and easy to reach. The Blue Gill over all was good and is what is descibed! We had some cold showers from the cottage size hot water tank and the lack of T.P. for the sensitive pipes was annoying. Overall 👍

Summary: It was great! Cottage was welcoming, clean and comfortable. Had everything we could need, plus more. Had the lake mostly to ourselves the entire weekend. Lots of fishing, swimming and kayaking. Everyone wants to go back there again. Jason & Aimee were friendly and very easy to communicate with.

Summary: A great little place on a nice small lake. Selling point and most fun of the weekend was using kayaks and rowboat. Only 20 minutes to Gaylord. Nearby Otsego Lake State Park for beach fun. Super appreciate the communication from owners- as well as providing extra requests!! Would consider this place again!
