Positive: What a absolute gem of a place hidden in the Jungle, the building is elegant and and as soon as you arrive you are met by the most professional, smiling, warm hosts we have had on our entire trip. Upon arriving we felt totally relaxed as our hosts arrived with umbrellas and took our luggage, when inside the property we were given a warm towel and our stay was explained to us by Eranda, his warm and kind demeanour made us feel like we were at home. The property only has 2 rooms in the main house and this means you are very very well looked after. Our main host was Charminder who was an absolute delight to have met, he was so professional, caring and nothing was too much for him, he makes amazing speciality cocktails and accommodated our ask for a takeaway lunch as we were hiking the next day, this came in a sustainable box and was freshly cooked food, that was still warm when we ate it some 5 hours later. Eranda knows everything about wildlife, in particular snakes and birds, on our hike we encountered 2 snakes and with photos Eranda explained that both were not poisonous and then went on to teach us what features poisonous snakes have so we left having learnt potentially life saving information. I can not recommend The Capoe House and the team enough, this was our best stay of our trip and would return in a heartbeat.

Positive: Wonderful location, beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Small boutique place, with lots of care and individual attention. Staff were very helpful. Nice little pool, I think a sauna would be a nice addition.
Negative: The price tag probably reflects that there are only 3 rooms at the property. Still, it is quite expensive- perhaps not entirely justified in terms of value for money.

Positive: A beautiful accommodation in a stunning location, with lovely views. We stayed 3 nights in the villa at Capoe House and enjoyed every minute. The villa is very spacious, clean and comfortable, the meals were excellent and the staff were very professional and attentive. We visited the secret waterfall and hiked to the ancient rock. The lunch menu and drinks are not overpriced. We were the only guests during our stay and felt very well looked after.

Positive: If you are looking for a perfect stay in the nature far away from the noise, this is a perfect location. The location itself is pretty remote and can be only reached by a unsettled road. The hotel staff is doing the pickup which means you do not need an SUV yourself to reach the location. Given this hotel is only containing 3 rooms, you have a lot of service from the staff. We even got a bonfire with Prosecco ourselves, accompanied by some fireflies. The stay contained a 5 course menu as well as breakfast. The dinner was one of the best we had in Sri Lanka and it's pretty impressive to receive this kind of service in such a remote location.
Negative: Expect some digital detox as the internet speed is pretty slow/barley working which also was not a big issue as the hotel itself was designed to switch off and be "offline".
Summary: The most amazing hotel stay we had in Sri Lanka.

Positive: Everything about Capoe House from the stunning location to the most lovely staff makes this a truly magical place to stay. In the middle of an organic tea plantation you look straight out onto mountains and views that are just stunning. The staff could not be more helpful and friendly which made this a perfect stay.

Positive: Lovely little boutique hotel in a fabulous location. Smaller than I was expecting but this made it feel more personal and intimate. Our bedroom was lovely with a large balcony with stunning views. Staff and food excellent. We saw fireflies at night and the staff made me a cake for my birthday which was lovely.

Positive: The Capoe House is the most magical hotel experience Iโ€™ve ever had, the house and rooms are magnificent and so well decorated and we were hosted by Eranda, the manager and his team who made us feel like royalty! Eranda is an expert naturalist and made is discover the wonders of the nature surrounding us. Getting to the property in Erandaโ€™s jeep was also an unforgettable experience! We cannot be thankful enough!
Negative: There is nothing not to like in the property

Positive: The team at Capoe house do a great job of keeping you happy and entertained. There is a butler that will meet your every need also with an amazing management that keeps the place tidy and beautiful. Food was good, I would recommend going for full board at least.

Positive: Capoe House is a wonderful villa with two room among terraced rice fields and mountains. Its hard to get there. The hotel offroad will pick you up in the village and bring you to an amazing place outside of civilization. The view from the room is breathtaking and the staff are amazingly nice and helpful and will do anything for you. The chef cooks just for you and the food is great (except for the beef :-))
