The Chalet at Patricia's Place is a splendidly renovated log cabin that is nestled atop a private cove in Maggie Valley. Spectacular views await you at this tranquil retreat, yet it is still conveniently located within minutes of the many attractions in Maggie Valley including the Cataloochee Ski Area and the Blue Ridge Parkway. It is only a 30 minute drive from Asheville, North Carolina.
Enjoy rocking on your chair or grilling on the deck while you marvel at the 180 degree mountain views and take in the mountain air. This chalet-style cabin is equipped with many modern amenities, such as heated tiled bathrooms with a glass shower, jet tub, and its own sauna, a wood burning stove fireplace, ceiling fans, comfortable beds with luxury mattresses, updated kitchen with stainless steel appliances, and a covered parking area. Enjoy Spectrum 1 Gig high speed internet service with cable channels and streaming services.
Perfect romantic getaway for two. Relax in the cabin or adventure out to the many exciting attractions that are within 30 minutes of the home: The Blue Ridge Parkway, Cataloochee Ski Resort and Ranch, Harrah's Casino in Cherokee, Elk Watching, Great Smoky Mountain National Park, The Wheels of Time Museum, Lake Junaluska, and Downtown Waynesville.
Because the property is on a mountain, we are not responsible for weather-related access to the chalet. During winter months, we strongly recommend taking a 4-wheel drive vehicle to get to the cabin. Parking for a trailer is not available. Motorcycles are restricted on the property, and no trailering vehicles allowed due to access issues.

Summary: We spent one night here celebrating my husband’s birthday while we were in the area of the ski resort. We drive a four-wheel-drive Jeep so we weren’t worried about the road up to the cabin, but I will say that it’s not bad. Of course that would be different if there was snow/ice on the ground. We live near Gatlinburg so we used to Cabin’s on twisting tiny high roads. We were greeted by two gorgeous chocolate cupcakes in the kitchen, which was a fun surprise! Cabin had everything we needed. The owner even supplied some firewood.. The view from the deck is gorgeous! Well worth the drive of the mountain. We enjoyed the sauna and spa rain shower.. we would definitely stay here again.

Summary: The drive up to the cabin was exciting. I used 4WD in case. Getting to the place was so welcoming. The view, the welcome note, the whole cabin entirely was nice & cozy. I loved the balcony & cute little grill i used for grilling steaks. This was the perfecf place to be for a relaxing quick getaway after having a sad week. Host was very sweet & left clear check out instructions.

Summary: I highly recommend this property and property manager. Albeit, we had to leave a day early due to a sick child the property was exactly as it read in the description. We appreciated the location to Maggie Valley and it was a well kept and private location to enjoy the calm of the mountains.
