Positive: Friendly staff and great breakfast. Nice outside terrace area.

Negative: On a constructive basis, I’d suggest changing the striped hallway carpeting as it makes it extremely difficult to see the stairs and therefore is a trip/fall hazard. The rooms are located in a warren of corridors with steps up and down, and very easy to get lost. I’d recommend better signage to make it much clearer on directions back to reception and restaurant/bar area. We got lost several times during our stay. Not withstanding these comments, the hotel is very nice and would definitely recommend 👍

Positive: reception rearranged the rooms they had planned to give us so that we could be in the same building as our other family

Positive: Another great stay at The Chester. The reception staff were so helpful. The rooms were spotless. We were there for my daughter’s graduation and so many lovely touches- congratulations card on table at dinner, chocolates for her. Thoroughly recommend the Chester for business, family trip, couples. We have stayed in a range of rooms and suites. Also recommended the 5 Bed House for larger parties
