The Cliffview Farmhouse is located on the grounds of an exclusive equestrian boarding facility and Julien’s Farmstore and Cafe.
The house is a late 19th century, 4-bedroom farmhouse, with a newer contemporary interior design. A fifth sleeping space is now available with 2 rooms in the 3rd-floor attic. The open floor plan offers a gourmet granite kitchen (with Wolf range), a dining area, and two informal sitting rooms. The front door offers access to the quintessential “farmhouse” front porch! The rear of the home features a large, open and sunny pool table room next to the family room with a flat-screen TV.
An entry foyer has a large coat closet and powder room. The bedrooms are located on the second floor along with 2 full baths. There is even a finished 3rd-floor walk-up attic with lots more potential for extra guests.
THIS HOME CAN SLEEP 10 BUT PLEASE NOTE 4 GUESTS ARE INCLUDED IN THE BASE PRICE. There is a charge for extra guests.
The home features central air and a warm water heating system.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, a Wolf gas range, a deep gourmet sink, and a refrigerator/freezer. The granite counter provides space for bar stools and is great for informal gatherings. Cookware, dinnerware, silverware and utensils are furnished.
The exterior grounds offer a rear patio with a gas grill and picnic tables. The walkway leads to a beautiful in-ground pool in season (late May thru September.) There is no external heating of the pool. The views from the pool are stunning, from the cliff to the equestrian grazing pastures.
Granby is an up-scale rural Hartford community with great restaurants, thousands of acres of hiking trails, some of the best waterfalls in Connecticut, and great family-owned farm stands.

Summary: This is a beautiful property. But during our week a new cafe right next to property caused some issues. We were not told this ahead of time. We picked this property for our first vacation in 2 years and besides my wife breaking her toe the first day there were other issues-if they fix the cafe issue the property might be worth another try.

Summary: We were very happy with this choice for our annual family week together.. the house was very clean and spacious, and the setting could not have been more beautiful. We had great fun swimming in the pool and playing billiards, and everyone loved seeing the horses grazing in the pasture each day. We also saw quite a bit of wild life including deer . We really hit the jackpot with Cliffview House. Thank you to the owners for everything. It couldn’t have been better.

Summary: Wonderful stay in all ways. The house is large and very clean and comfortable, with lots of windows, fabulous views, horses, pastures, and plantings. The pool is large and amazing. The host and owner are terrific. This is a wonderfully managed property. I am returning next summer and I hope in the fall / winter as well.

Summary: My Family and I just left the farm house today. The house is huge and BEAUTIFUL! The master bed is extremely comfortable! The house has central air a huge plus! The pool is deep enough for adults to enjoy too. We loved the fire pit for s’mores! Game room is awesome!!!! They allow you to use the grill which cooks beautifully! They supply everything you need like toilet paper, shampoos, body wash pots/pans that was very appreciated!!! The house backyard is literally an active horse ranch where every moment of every day we got to lay our eyes on those beauties! There’s also a garden so the bug activity is HIGH but that’s Mother Nature for you! The stove/oven was absolutely breathtaking I wish I could take it home with me! I cooked all 7 days of our vacation (I love to cook) and I feel in love with the stove I will be buying one! Eric was always quick to respond with any issues!The only thing I wish the house was a bit deep cleaned better there was dog hair all in the rugs and couches! Like everywhere. My husband is allergic to cats and all the dog fur made him very congested and uncomfortable the last 4 days. But other than that it’s literally perfect! I would book again and bring my own cleaning supplies and vacuum to clean it properly it’s worth it! Thanks so much for the stay what I relaxing vacation!

Summary: an absolutely beautiful, meticulously maintained property with lots of room to spread out and relax. It is perfect for friends and families to gather with lots of outdoor recreation options. The kitchen is very well appointed with dishes, glassware, and cooking pots/pans. We all loved it and would love to return!

Summary: We stayed for the Amherst rail show and this home was perfect for our group. Close by to the show , the airport and shopping /dining options. This beautiful home was very comfortable and well equipped. Would recommend and will return again!

Summary: Family members came from various locations to meet up for a holiday gathering. Not only was the accommodation very comfy & pleasant, but it also had games, entertainment and a super kitchen! The horse farm next door was an added source of entertainment. All in all, it was the perfect getaway to relax and reconnect with extended family!
