The Consecon has fabulous views and easy access to the water from the large deck. You'll appreciate the cozy living room after a day at the beach or exploring the County. In high season (Canada Day to Labour Day) different check-in/out times are strictly non-negotiable. Early Access to drop off belongings or to get the beach pass cannot be granted, no exceptions. A fee of $200 will apply for those who arrive early or depart late. In other seasons, reach out to your Host NO SOONER THAN 2 BUSINESS DAYS in advance of your stay to see if early in/late out might be possible. Guests may use the park pass only for the duration of their stay, not prior to check-in or after check-out.
The Consecon Lodge is a part of Westlake Cottage Resort. This resort consists of 12 units that can all be rented together for larger groups. These all share the waterfront and all have access to a dock that can dock a boat up to 20ft. The waterfront has walk in access and has a mix of rocks and sand, water-shoes are recommended. Two (2) park passes for access to Sandbanks and North Beach.

A fee of $200 will apply for those who arrive earlier or depart later than agreed.

Summary: Our stay at the cottage in Bloomfield was great, easy check in, beds comfortable, all the amenities we needed. The only complaint would be the cleanliness of the cottage- it was QUITE dirty. It looked fine at first glance but every corner had a ton of cobwebs/spiders. We moved a couch at one point and it looked like it hadn’t been moved or cleaned under ever. The dishwasher also didn’t really work- we had to rewash most of the dishes (despite rinsing them before putting them in!). The fridge was also ++ dirty and one of the shelves were broke (we couldn’t use it- it would fall) Overall we would go back, but for the price It was disappointing to see how minimally it was maintained.

Summary: Overall it was a great experience and we really enjoyed ourselves. We would certainly consider returning. Ashley was the key representative contact throughout. She was absolutely wonderful to interact with from the booking and onwards. She was extremely helpful and very efficient in answering questions. Her communications were helpful and easy to understand. There were a few other correspondences from a couple of other reps who were also excellent. Thanks Ashley for being such a pleasure to interact with and being so good at your job!

Summary: The cleanliness of the facility was below our expectation. Window and door frames were dirty. Dust webs in corners and from lights. Cutlery had crusted on food. Property was waterfront but not swimmable. Good location for fishing though. Aside from those shortcomings, we had a good visit. There was a lot of space for 6 adults. The beds were comfortable.
