Welcome to The Container Retreat @ 290 Wine Trail! The perfect place to stay as you explore the beautiful Texas Hill Country and its amazing wineries, parks, shops and people. We are happy to share our special getaway with you and truly hope you enjoy it as much as we do. We are right in the middle of over 50 Texas Hill Country wineries, three of which are within walking distance: Blue Lotus Winery and Silver Dollar Winery to the east and Untamed to the west. So, whether you are looking for a quick getaway or a home base while you attend one of the many festivals and events in the surrounding areas, we are the right choice.
Our containers are arranged in pods of five surrounding majestic oak trees and lush landscaping with just enough ambient lighting to make it relaxing and comfortable. If you want to hang out, just walk over to the common area where you will find open space, chairs, a hammock, and our custom Container Retreat cornhole boards.
Our mattresses were custom handmade locally from Cantwell Mattress in San Antonio. Our shampoo, conditioner and body wash are made with 100% Pure Morocco Argan Oil and are 100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free. In addition, our hand soap is made with essential oils, aloe vera, olive oil, and without parabens, phthalates, or artificial colors. We have provided everything you need in our kitchenette, including a corkscrew and wine pourer to enjoy your Texas Hill Country wine.
Couples get away, check! Girl’s weekend, check! Bachelor or Bachelorette parties, check! Whatever the occasion, we are the right choice. If you need to book larger parties, we have twelve other listings and can accommodate groups of up to thirty-two.

Summary: Stay was nice,clean, and easy to find. Really close to a lot winerys and a whiskey distillery it was nice good for a couple of nights murphey bed a bit small for me and wife but had a great time

Summary: Yes, it’s small. But it’s bigger than a camper and we didn’t have to drive after enjoying local wineries. Portree right around the corner was lovely. Hye Thai ten minutes down the road was so good with wonderful service. The shower was a good size with lots of hot water. Would definitely stay here again, especially with fall coming.

Summary: These container homes are quaint and quiet! It’s definitely a great stay for a couples retreat! The small container is small, but great for a quiet get away for one or spending close time with your loved one! Communication was amazing with the owners and the area has tons to do!

Summary: Loved the property! It was perfectly situated in a location with beautiful views. Loved being so close to a number of wineries; a few were literally walking distance. The price was just right and was a perfect fit for a weekend getaway. I was so relaxed I hated to leave. Looking forward to my next stay.
