Positive: Location and parking were its assets
Negative: Service is very slack , especially outside. It was a constant battle to order anything . Refused to play the World Cup game on the TV . Zero atmosphere round the pool area. Just a sleepy barman that needed to be woken up . Not even a bit of background music . I rate this as a really boring lacklustre hotel.
Summary: Boring . But a reasonable hotel for the money .

Positive: Breakfast was very good amazing view from the restaurant, wish you could eat evening meal for the sunset. We were on level 9 great room there was only on lift working so had to wait along time to get to the top.
Negative: More staff on the terrace down stairs had to wait a very long time for drinks

Positive: We were on the 8th floor we upgraded the view from the back of the hotel was magnificent. The room was clean and room to move about.
Negative: The only thing i would have liked is a mirror when drying hair as the hairdryer can't be moved and couldn't see to style hair.

Positive: Good location and generally a very nice hotel. Exceptionally clean and tidy. Despite being opposite the 2 lifts it was quiet.
Negative: A few things.. some fairly minor but this is advertised as one of the premier hotels in Gibraltar and the price reflects this so should all be of a high standard We had the Victoria suite.. it was a nice suite with a separate living area. Be warned that this is a very dark room even in the day with curtains open. ( the website photo does not reflect reality and has had lighting added to the image) There isn’t enough lighting in the bedroom and especially the living room. Lights are needed in the day and they need far more. We found the staff somewhat rude in the restaurant at breakfast on the first day. We weren’t asked whether we wanted tea, coffee or.a drink and when I made a point of asking for milk as the jug on the table had obviously been used by a previous guest. Some milk was brought back, put on the table.. no apology or smile or acknowledgement.. just an air of annoyance.. there was a card in the room giving you a choice of extra pillows with different firmness.. nice touch, however when we requested them, they had only got 1 ? I also asked the staff member in the rooftop bar for a certain drink. She said she hadn’t got any strawberries in the bar and told me to go down to the ground floor bar, which I did.. then to be told by the member of staff on the ground floor that she should of come down for them.. it’s her job.. Overall the staff were very attentive and courteous but let down by a few.
