Positive: The place is nice, the village is wonderful. But the food portions are ridiculously small and incredibly pricey. I would never ever dine here again or have breakfast. The rooms are smallish but cute and super clean. But they’re bloody hot and with no fan. The water pressure at high level drops and the temp is impossible to adjust.

Negative: Our room not ready for three, told it would be 3:45, returned at 4pm to be told it was still not ready an excuse of too many folk checking in/out at the same time. We were offered a free coffee of which we declined. A different room given to us which looked okay - I think our original room was at the rear. Later we were talking to another group in the other local pub and they too had the same issue and were given another room. We decided not to purchase any more drinks of food from the falcon and ate in a local restaurant instead. Room was very noisy being on the front and after 6 am because of large sash window that really needs secondary double glazing, the shower room had no extractor in there so after two showers the room walls were running with water, and there was water on the floor. This was the most expensive stay of our whole 9 days CW walk and just not worth the money. What is going wrong with the rooms preparation? The only stay that needed further card details for any damage to the room caused by us! The excellent breakfast redeemed my score slightly.

Summary: Not worth the money, poor room preparation, good breakfast, noisy front rooms.
