4 Bedroom Place in Otego

Sitting on 5 acres surrounded by farmland, this 4 bed/2 bath home, built by my parents in the 70’s, offers plenty of room for up to 8 guests. The home features an open kitchen and dining area, perfect for setting up buffet-style family meals on the large island, updated bathrooms, and two living/family rooms. My family loves watching the rain or enjoying a cup of coffee on the large front porch.
There is a volleyball/ badminton net available in the garage, a firepit near the pond (wood provided upon request), and a mowed walking trail along a fence line to take in the view (we recommend/ provide tick repellent). Some board games are available for cozy indoor days as well.
A small TV and DVD player with a plethora of DVDs are available in the living room. The family room has a large, comfy couch and flat screen TV with Roku (bring your logins) to enjoy family movie night.
There are currently window A/C units in all four bedrooms, and a portable A/C unit in the family room. Fans are available in the dining room and living room downstairs.
Otsego County is the destination for baseball and fall foliage tourism, and this home is just a short, scenic drive away from colleges in nearby Oneonta. Come for Parent’s Weekend or graduation!

Summary: My family of 4 had a wonderful time staying at this farmhouse. The house was charming and comfortable. The kitchen had all we needed to cook family meals. The wildlife that can be viewed from the windows and front porch were amazing. The drive into Oneonta was about 20 minutes. I recommend downloading a map because GPS and 5G can be flacky in the mountains. The WiFi at the house kept all the kids devices streaming with no issues. Mary and her brother were both very friendly and it was fun to watch the cows and goats!

Summary: This was a nice old farmhouse. It brought back memories of my parent’s farmhouse. The 2 bathrooms were very nice. One with a shower and one with a deep tub. There was air conditioning in 2 upstairs bedrooms and the downstairs family room. It would have been nice to have air conditioning in the remaining 2 upstairs bedrooms. It had a great kitchen with all the tools needed to make meals. The front porch was definitely a highlight of the property!! We would stay there again.

Summary: The house was very clean, beds were comfortable and water was hot. There was lots of space for our group to spread out. It included everything we needed.

Summary: This house was so quaint and well cared for. Nothing was missing for our week long stay. We stayed during our week long Cooperstown Baseball. It too about 20 minutes and well worth it.

Summary: Our stay at the Farmhouse was fantastic! There was room enough for all of us (7) upstairs and the living area downstairs was more than adequate. The views were beautiful from all windows and my favorite spot was the front porch in the morning. The fuschia baskets were a nice touch! The badminton set was very fun. We loved the mowed paths and made good use of them. We had a fire and made s'mores at the fire pit! The quiet was intense and privacy complete. We had a feeling of being at home while we were there. Thank you!
