Positive: Fantastic charming hotel in the center of Holt, which is a lovely little town definitely worthing a stop. Very well and carefully decorated rooms, super clean, great food and very nice restaurant (fish and chips is excellent).

Negative: the only negative point is that the windows do not open a lot and that is might be very hot in the room despite the fan that is provided

Negative: Misleading when it came to the Lawns rooms. This was a seperate building approximately 400 yards away. All food served in the main building. Ok when the weather is fine.

Positive: Our bedroom was in the Lawn House, a separate building a short walk from the hotel. It was extremely comfortable and well appointed with a garden area and outdoor seating for guests to use. The hotel itself had a nice dining area as well as a large bar and conservatory for meals. Breakfasts were very good.

Negative: The menu for evening meals was fine but it didn’t change over the five days of our stay and there were no specials.

Summary: A friendly, clean and comfortable hotel in a central location.

Positive: The breakfast options and quality was excelent probably one of the best breakfasts we have had and we have had many in 50 years of travels from 2 to 5star

Negative: Being picky our room 7 was very warm at night fan helped a bit , it is expencive to eat a drink at the hotel but holt was generaly high priced we found

Summary: nice hotel with lovely helpfull staff exspensive but high quality food worth a stay for sure

Positive: Lovely friendly attentive staff, good beers & lovely pub garden with parking. Clean room comfy bed fluffy big towels & nice bathroom products with great breakfast. Couldn’t ask for more! Loved our stay & will return. Previously stayed at Lawns but this was just as good .

Positive: Centre of town but quiet environment. Absolutely dog friendly. Staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. All meals were very good too, of a high quality.

Negative: More importantly for us is the cleanliness, which this property deserves 10/10, better than a lot of other higher priced hotels. However, it does have a bit of a tired look to it, but that would not put us off from returning for all the other pluses.

Summary: Holistically, it is what one wants for the a long weekend, and its location is great for Wells, Blakeney and Holkham. H
