**THE SPACE**
This incredibly spacious 4000 sqft rental is a wonderful space to use as a home base for everything Philly has to offer! Reserved street parking for 1 vehicle, a fully equipped kitchen, living room, dining area, outdoor patio, heated floors, pool table and swinging couch - you're bound to have a great experience when you stay here! Property sleeps 12 adults + 2 children. Detailed layout goes as follows:
- 1st Floor: Bedroom #1 (1x queen bed) ; bedroom #2 (1x queen bed) ; bedroom #3 (1x queen + 1x full) ; kitchen, living room/pool table/ 3.5 bathrooms / outdoor patio / 2x single futons via the elevated swinging couch in the living room (for children to sleep on only). ***Please note: these 3 bedrooms have limited sound privacy as the ceilings are semi open and thus sound can easily travel between bedrooms***
- 2nd Floor: Bedroom #4 (1x queen bed) ; bedroom #5 (1x queen bed); shared full bathroom.

Summary: This is a fantastic use of an old space. Very conveniently located just off the subway system, the neighborhood isn't the nicest BUT the house is fantastic. Wide open spaces with plenty of comfortable chairs, beds and couches, the extra showers and eating areas were awesome and there was an outdoor back patio that made for a great reading area. All and all a fantastic stay, we cancelled evening plans just to hang out in the VRBO and enjoy some family time.

It was more than just a rental—it became the perfect backdrop for our special Family Gathering Dinner. The attention to detail did not go unnoticed, and we were truly impressed. One aspect that made our stay exceptionally memorable was the accessibility of your home. My father is in a wheelchair, and it's often a challenge to find accommodations that meet his needs. However, your VRBO was a game-changer for us. He was able to move about the entire home with ease, which added immeasurable joy to our time together. It's not every day that we find a place that combines both comfort and accessibility so seamlessly. Moreover, the amenities provided surpassed our expectations. Your home was not only comfortable but also stocked with everything we could possibly need—and more. It made our stay effortless and allowed us to focus on creating lasting memories with our loved ones. As the evening drew to a close, my family was already expressing their desire to make this an annual tradition. They've asked me to reach out and inquire about the availability for next year. Summary: The Firehouse is an incredible place to stay and is a remarkable bargain. It is, I assume, an old firehouse, and is very large. There are 5 bedrooms and 5 baths, large kitchen and huge common area with two dining tables, a pool table, living area. Clean and well furnished. The neighborhood isn't great, but doesn't seem dangerous, and it is just a block or two off Broad St. Only real drawback is there is just one dedicated parking place, which is disclosed in the listing. Public parking lots are available, but some distance away.

Summary: The facility was fine. Three of the bedrooms had no ceiling and were downstairs where the tv and pool table were which led to everyone needing to go to bed when the first person retired. We then had a leak from the AC in two of the three downstairs bathrooms which didn’t get resolved for our last two days. We had to use towels and buckets and couldn’t use the bathrooms. Quite the calamity. No reimbursement for our loss of use.

Summary: From the outside, The Firehouse doesn't look like much. However, once you step inside the front door, you are amazed at the space and natural light of this location. My friends and I were in town for a conference at the convention center. Uber rides were reasonable and easy to get in and out of right at our door. The cleanliness and openness was fantastic. The kitchen was well stocked and gorgeous! We really appreciated the stay and I think you will too.
