The newly renovated Cottage "Farmhouse" (main level) is 1500 sq ft and features a large living room with a couch, two leather chairs and a 55” Smart TV, dining room, 2 private bedrooms with queen size beds, a full bathroom, fully equipped eat-in kitchen with refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, coffee pot, pots, pans and utensils and laundry room with Washer & Dryer.
The town offers pleasant vistas of the Mississippi River from its characteristic terraced gardens. Nearby, 550-foot Eagle Bluff is the highest point on the Upper Mississippi. Seven Hawks Vineyard perches on the hillside outside of town while their Tasting Room is nestled in a historic downtown building. The Prairie Moon Museum & Sculpture Garden, a fanciful folk art attraction, is located just north of Fountain City. Winona, MN is located 10 minutes south of the Cottage.

Summary: We are use to staying at hotels so we were hesitant to try VRBO. We weren't sure what we were going to get. After the experience we had at the at Flyway Cottage, we will definitely go this route again. The Flyway Cottage was clean and nice. We would definitely stay here again when in the area.

Summary: Good times with family. The beds were a little high, especially for my older family members to get into. The kitchen and dining room chairs could be more comfortable. We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio.

Summary: Four of us stayed here so we could attend the Midwest Music Festival across the river at Winona. We love this property. A nice spacious living room, had a barrel of laughs playing giant Yatzy on the carpeted floor. Hung out at night at the fire pit in the backyard. Clean, well appointed. We will definitely stay there again if we have the occasion.
