Positive: Fabulous house, with everything you need for a comfortable stay away from home. Set in a gorgeous, quiet location with plenty of local walks on the doorstep; Cheddar Gorge is also less than 5 miles away if you're after something that's more of a challenge. Finding fresh milk and cake in the kitchen was a lovely gesture and much appreciated after a lengthy drive to get there. The host is wonderful and incredibly helpful meeting us upon arrival and giving us the rundown of the local area before showing us over to the house. Comfy beds and living areas; a well stocked kitchen with ample crockery, utensils and cookware; 2 outdoor seating options in a lovely private garden - we will definitely return!

Negative: Nothing to dislike, everything was just as we'd hoped for.

Summary: The perfect place for a quiet and comfortable holiday.

Positive: Hosts couldn't have done more to provide everything we needed. Everything was convenient, functional and useful. We enjoyed the interesting conversion - the mezzanine kitchen with lovely bright skylights. The bathrooms were spotless and thoroughly modern. All the bedding and soft furnishings were like new.

Negative: You can't see the beautiful views from inside the house. The seating outside was an enclosed private space, so still no view. There is an area on the premises provided for dogs to run where you could sit with a view, but only on a wooden bench. In sum, comfortable outdoor seating with a view would be good.

Summary: A lovely weekend break with our family.

Positive: Very clean and well thought out design. Chairs were comfortable. Good location with pleasant views and quiet. Good central location for exploring the mendips and surrounding areas. Loved the shower room, plenty of room for the less mobile.

Negative: Only problem was the height of the beds. Comfortable but, if you are short, difficult to get in and out.

Summary: Pleasant, comfortable stay.

Positive: This was an excellent property for our small family to spend three days over the Christmas period. The kitchen was particularly well equipped with good quality pots, pans and crockery etc. We did take a lot of kitchen equipment with us because the details were a little vague and we wanted Christmas lunch to be special, but as it turned out it was completely unnecessary because everything we needed was supplied.

Positive: Perfect location for Cheddar, Wells and the surrounding area. The accommodation was extremely well maintained and presented. Very quiet location. The accommodation is situated at a stable so perfect for those with an interest in horses. For those with no interest in horses, like me, the accommodation was not affected by it being a working stable. A very nice restaurant, The Star, just down the road.
