Positive: The Goat and Goose offers a delightful stay and ticks all of the boxes. Our number one priority was a welcome stay for our dogs and Lynn greeted them with affection and they were made to feel very welcome. The ocean view from our room was spectacular and I could imagine whiling away winter days just gazing out over the blue from the warmth of the studio. A huge private deck with sun lounges would be fabulous to enjoy in summer. Parrots and kookaburras visited while we were there and had no qualms about hanging out with the humans. The rooms were perfectly clean and the sleep quality was excellent in the luxurious queen-size four-poster bed. The property is set on a hill overlooking the ocean and a short drive from the Lakes Entrance main town which would make it even more appealing during high season if you wanted to be free from crowds. Added bonuses included a delicious vegan breakfast in a cosy dining room with spectacular views (binoculars were part of the furnishings) and very quirky decor. It is obvious the host takes great pride in her BnB offering and makes it her mission to ensure you have an enjoyable stay.
Negative: The in-room spa-bath/shower wasn't our cup of tea but we agreed that many couples would love popping a champagne cork and enjoying the vibe.
