Summary: Rental property’s by nature will show wear and tear. Missing bolts in deck furniture and loose and failing hardware in the dining room furniture you would think would be regularly checked maintenance items ? Guess not.

Summary: Rented: May 20 - 23, 2022; party of 9 The cabin/lodge itself is amazing. It is well decorated, clean and spacious. There was plenty of room for our party with room to spare. It has all the starters that you can ask for and a ton of kitchen equipment at your fingertips. There's games and entertainment options, a great hot tub, spacious deck etc....it really is a fantastic place. However, it should be mentioned on the listing that this is definitely not secluded, more like a cabin subdivision, as the cabin next door is about 125-150 feet away at best. Roads are also close by, which brings road noise. This is not mentioned nor seen in any pictures, so if you're looking for an even somewhat secluded getaway, this isn't it. To make matters worse, Saturday morning I opened the front door to take garbage out to the bins and was greeted by a group of 8 or 9 workers parked in the cul-de-sac that worked on the home right next to us all day Saturday. Unfortunately, we decided to book this location too close to our actual trip dates, so there was only a 48 hour window to cancel after booking to receive any refund at all and the actual address wasn't sent until a couple weeks prior to our weekend, had the address been sent earlier, I'd have Googled it and seen that it was so close to other homes and canceled the booking within the refund time frame for another location. Also another thing not mentioned, the wonderful gas fireplaces are turned off from May 1 until October 1 so if you're looking to play cards/games etc on the amazing back deck at night with a fire in the background, like they show and mention as a selling point multiple times, you're not going to get it unless it's in the winter months. That was a huge disappointment and not communicated until I reached out after the first night. For these reasons I cannot give a 5 star rating, no matter how amazing the place is....which it is, if that's the type of place you're looking for, but know what you're getting upfront.
