Positive: Was what you’d expect from an old ‘character ‘ property. Everything worked well, room was fine, part of the charm was finding it around twisting narrow corridors. Staff were excellent, nice cosy bar with a great freshly cooked ‘full English’ for breakfast. Car park at the fear was very close to rear entrance ( although it’s not free, is not expensive)
Negative: Needs to be noted that they don’t offer lunch or dinner. Was not a problem to us as there’s a hotel across the road that did, and was fine but it’s a busy road, so my not suit everyone
Summary: Enjoyable

Positive: This is the second time I used the Greyhound for an overnight stay whilst visiting parents. Was a pleasant stay as always. Comfortable, with everything you need.
Negative: Its an old building and so walls are paper thin, could hear full use of the bathroom in room next door whilst falling asleep and again was woke by the rooms use of their shower. Shower heads could do with an update, not very powerful.
Summary: Comfortable stay

Positive: Beautifully presented, lovely outside area, nice old building and it was really peaceful. Like Harry Potter rooms, small door then you go in and it’s a lovely sized room. Location was easy to find. Breakfast was fantastic and we had a full belly to drive home with.
Negative: Very personal but it was very warm in the rooms, we could open windows and the fans provided helped a little. It may also be worth considering a small lamp in the first room of the family room. The lights were very bright and to have something like a lamp or a dimmer switch would be ideal.
Summary: Beautiful place, lovely staff and owner. Cannot fault it and would 100% stay there again. Thank you

Negative: Low lights in the room my husband hit his head and complained to a member of staff. There were lots of passages and no signs to direct to exit we kept going the wrong way.

Positive: Good old coaching inn. Rooms were well equipped, although during a 30c heatwave we regretted the lack of aircon in ours. We had a courtyard room with an impressive four poster bed. The outside courtyard area is really good with impressive plants and seating. A good breakfast was included in the room price
