Positive: The continental breakfast was very good and the wait staff, excellent!

Negative: We only stayed one night but were impressed with the hotel especially the staff. The Griswold is a historic 250 year hotel with a lot of history. The restaurant/ bar is classic.

Summary: Great stay:) We will be back here soon!

Positive: I have been going to the Griswald Inn for about 25 years…which is one tenth of the time this ‘time machine’ has been in existence. It is historical, yet not dated. It is nestled in a seaside town with cute shops offering unique gifts and items.

Negative: Sound tends to carry so you do hear a bit of noise coming from surrounding rooms and structure.

Summary: It’s a nostalgic treasure that I hope to continue to introduce family and friends to for another 25 years (or more).

We truly felt welcomed and valued throughout our entire stay, which made a significant difference in our overall experience. The room was spotless, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring that we had restful nights during our stay. It’s clear that the hotel takes great care in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of their rooms, which we greatly appreciated. If I had to mention one minor drawback, it would be the size of the room, which was a bit on the small side. However, the coziness and the overall comfort made up for it, so it didn’t impact our stay too much. We also had dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, and while the service was excellent, the menu didn’t quite meet our expectations.
