Come EXPERIENCE Twin Oaks Ranch! Relax, recharge and explore 220+ rolling acres that have been in our family since 1871! Enjoy the cows, horses, dogs, and abundant wildlife, along with amazing views of the tank from the wrap-around porches. Our renovated farmhouse is cozy and welcoming, complete with gas BBQ grill & outdoor dining - perfect for family meals. Great for a couple's get-away or a small family. The house will be sparkling clean and sanitized for your arrival. We now have fiber high speed internet, in case you need to get some work done while visiting! The Ranch is so much more than a rental! It's an experience! Welcome to the Ranch!
One large bedroom and a second upstairs “reclaimed” attic bedroom (NOTE: lower ceiling) "flop-room" with a cute staircase - multiple beds - great for a slumber party! Note there is not a bathroom upstairs.
We also have an Event Center on-site for larger gatherings. Contact us for information!
The Guest House does have a private feel, with no direct line of site from our home on the property, and the Event Center is located on the other side of the woods. Your own private haven with amazing views of the tank and hillside.
NOTE: We do allow pets, but their safety is important to us and pre-approval is required. Also there is an extra fee. Please be considerate and respectful and don’t sneak your pet onto the property. $25 fee due at check in.

Summary: Comfortable, clean, and very well appointed, this property had everything a guest could ask for. April’s attention to details with quality things; thick, fluffy towels, Mrs. Meyer’s hand soap, well-stocked kitchen, filtered water, ice, only added to the experience. Summary: We had an amazing time at the ranch. The house is beautiful and has everything you would ever need. We were able to relax and enjoy the property and the animals. The view off the porch is perfect. We are already trying to figure out when we can return.

Summary: My husband and I needed a relaxing, rejuvenating and romantic get-away. We were blessed to have found just what we were looking for and then some. The ranch is truly a beautiful and breathtaking piece of heaven. The landscape of the land, dark skies lit with a multitude of the brightest of stars, the moon reflecting on the pond, animals grazing in the distance . . . . Need we say more? The home is tended to with love which can be seen throughout with touches of rich history, charming decor and all of the comforts of a home away from home. April and Craig are truly generous, thoughtful and wonderfully kind hosts. We are blessed to have been able to meet them and talk all of the “goings on” of the ranch as well as how the ranch came to them through generations. The donkey, oh that precious donkey Jack, the majestic horses and the nursing calves were truly a treat. Speaking of treats . . . . They loved theirs each morning! Sweet Boomer and Henry the marvelous “Mess” stopped by to welcome us and checked in during the day from time to time between their runs alongside the tractor. Busy ranch dogs they are! Summary: April was absolutely incredible. She was a very kind and understanding host. She insured our stay was a welcomed one. We had a very short stay but the charm of the house, the peaceful mornings, and the lovely animals helped us relax and breathe that fresh air. As a family, the best part was Eyeore "the donkey" called my daughter to come back, before we left, and say goodbye. 🥰🥰🥰 What a wonderful charming house and beautiful scenery. And nothing, I repeat, nothing, is better than " The stars at night, are big and bright, Deep in the Heart of Texas! So true at Lavaca County!

Summary: We loved staying at The Guest House at Twin Oaks Ranch. The house was charming and the hosts thought of everything. So many amazing personal touches. Our kiddos woke up early every morning to play with the ranch dogs and visit the horses, cows and Jack the donkey. They canoed, hiked and played board games to their hearts’ content. We can’t wait to go back!

Summary: This is our 2nd time to stay at this property. Husbands fished and caught some nice bass. Mingled and fed the livestock and horses. The owners took us on a tour of their beautiful property on their Gator. Kitchen fully stocked to cook or BBQ full meals. We'll be back next year!
