Positive: The rooms were nicely renovated. And the balcony was superb.
Negative: The noise from the street outside was very loud. My room was renovated but the soundproofing was not. There was no weatherstripping on the door and all the noise from the street came in.

Positive: Staff was exception. Hotel was clean and new. The view was outstanding. A beautiful boutique hotel. The fire, chairs, hot tub and sauna were amazing. We plan to go back.
Negative: They were having problems with the internet. So we didn't have TV. They are still getting everything setup. Once it is all complete it will be perfect.

Positive: The staff was helpful and welcoming. Love the clean spacious rooms. It had such a peaceful vibe. The electric kettle was a good choice.
Negative: Maybe add, some healthy options to breakfast. Danish and OJ are too much sugar. We brought our own and was happy!
Summary: A bald eagle made our day while we looked out from the deck.

Positive: No breakfast-really $25 for a boiled egg and piece of fruit and pastry? Really?
Negative: 1. Every room should have bottled water 2. Braided rough rug too much of a trip situation! 3. Cupboard where refrigerator is kept has rough unfinished wood so when you try to open the frig door I have scratched my knuckles. 4. Lamps in room stupid! Too short big open area on top of shade. Cheap! 5. Bad bad lousy coffee in packet? Really? Get local brand 6. No info or history on Astoria from lobby trying so hard to be high class and it’s not! Get local history books or info on Astoria!!! Remember you are in this incredible fishing town! 7. Nothing in room what password to WiFi 8. Beautiful grounds and new plantings-very nice but chairs and tables cheap metal chairs. 9. Do not forget the past history of the Crest and past patrons AND including this special town. Get local art work/paintings to reflect the history of Astoria. Get a fun library in Libby so people from around the world can learn about the mighty Columbia! 10. Spoke to several past guests outside. We all said “SAD” about how this place has become. Yes it’s on the right path but just wait til the cheap wood outside gets wet and drab!

Positive: We had a delightful stay at the Herondale. We enjoyed being a couple miles outside of downtown, it was so relaxing and peaceful. The view of the Columbia River from our room was spectacular. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable. We also enjoyed the spa amenities, the sauna, hot tub and cold plunge. All were very clean and well-maintained. The staff was super friendly and helpful, offering suggestions for what to do in town. As an added bonus, the hotel is very close to the east entrance to the Astoria Riverwalk. Highly recommend!

Positive: Absolutely cozy, clean, freshly renovated, super sweet staff, and beautiful view.
Negative: Still under renovation while we stayed there, but that didn’t bother us one bit. Nothing was in the way, no noise to contend with, etc. we really don’t have any complaints.
