Summary: This was our first visit to Chincoteague! We came for a wedding. The cottage was tidy and perfect for our needs. Don, the owner, was friendly and accommodating. The cottage is situated at the end of the lane, which offered lots of privacy. The bed was comfy, the fridge was cold, and our stay was peaceful! We are already making plans to visit again next year, and have every intention of booking the cottage again! Would definitely recommend it!

Summary: Cozy beach shack. We loved the screened-in porch with four comfortable chairs, a table, and an overhead fan. Located five or ten minutes to just about anything you want to do in Chincoteague (ok about 15 from the beach). Perfect for someone who just wants a super simple place to sleep and who plans to go to restaurants for their entire stay. There is a tiny refrigerator and a hot plate but no stove or oven.

Summary: Enjoy Don's cottage - the screened in patio was lovely to enjoy coffee and do some light office work. Kitchen had enough of everything to heat or prepare simple meals. Hot water was plentiful and pressure good in the shower. Bed was comfortable. The area is very quiet at night but during the day there is a small business next door that you do hear light people chatter/deliveries. I would say this location is like a modern cabin - just enough of everything but still feels rustic.

Summary: Love the screened in porch. Perfect location for Oysterfest. Everything was very comfortable and the kitchenette had a decent amount of supplies to make breakfast and small meals. We had a great weekend!

Summary: This one room studio cottage with a screened in porch secluded at the end of a wooded lane was a nice place to come back to after a day's activities to refresh before going out in the evening. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom and kitchen facilities were more than adequate. Great for a solo traveler or a couple.

Summary: We stayed in the little house one night and then Don and his wife invited us to move to the larger cabin next door since it was the end of the season and was not going to be rented. We loved both places but the Hidaway was a bit small for two senior 75-76 people. We had a great time on the island. Don and his wife were wonderful and helpful to two old ladies. God bless you both.
